- Els semigràfics o pseudogràfics basats en text són un mètode primitiu utilitzat en el hardware de vídeo en mode de text inicial per emular gràfics de trama sense haver d'aplicar la lògica per a aquest mode de visualització. Hi ha dues maneres diferents d'aconseguir l'emulació de gràfics de trama. El primer és crear un mode adreçable de tots els punts de baixa resolució utilitzant un conjunt de caràcters especials amb totes les combinacions binàries d'una determinada matriu de subdivisió de la mida del caràcter del mode text; aquest mètode es coneix com a gràfics de blocs, o de vegades gràfics de mosaic . El segon és utilitzar formes especials en comptes de glifs (lletres i figures) que apareixen com si estiguessin dibuixats en mode de gràfics de trama, de vegades referits com a semi- o pseudo-gràfics ; un exemple important d'això són els caràcters de caixa de text. Els caràcters semigràfics (inclosos alguns elements de bloc) continuen incorporant-se a la BIOS de qualsevol targeta de vídeo compatible amb VGA, de manera que qualsevol PC pot mostrar aquests caràcters des del moment en què està activat, fins i tot quan no hi ha cap sistema operatiu carregat. - Textová semigrafika nebo pseudografika je jednoduchá metoda používaná staršími videoadaptéry pracujícími v textovém režimu pro emulaci rastrové grafiky bez nutnosti implementovat logiku pro grafický obrazový režim. Existují dva různé způsoby, jak dosáhnout emulace rastrové grafiky. První je vytvořit režim s nízkým rozlišením umožňující adresovat všechny body pomocí sady speciálních znaků se všemi binárními kombinacemi určitého rozdělení matice velikosti znaku v textovém režimu; tato metoda se někdy nazývá "bloková grafika" nebo mozaiková grafika. Druhou možností je použít speciální tvary místo glyfů (písmen a číslic), které se vypadají jako by byly vykresleny v rastrovém grafickém režimu, což se obvykle nazývá semigrafika nebo pseudografika. - Text-based semigraphics or pseudographics is a primitive method used in early text mode video hardware to emulate raster graphics without having to implement the logic for such a display mode. There are two different ways to accomplish the emulation of raster graphics. The first one is to create a low-resolution all points addressable mode using a set of special characters with all binary combinations of a certain subdivision matrix of the text mode character size; this method is referred to as block graphics, or sometimes mosaic graphics. The second one is to use special shapes instead of glyphs (letters and figures) that appear as if drawn in raster graphics mode, sometimes referred to as semi- or pseudo-graphics; an important example of this is box-drawing characters. Semigraphical characters (including some block elements) are still incorporated into the BIOS of any VGA compatible video card, so any PC can display these characters from the moment it is turned on, even when no operating system is yet loaded. Single and double lines are still often drawn with this method when the system uses text mode; for example when running the BIOS setup program. Many of these historical ideas have been adopted into Unicode, in, for example in the Symbols for Legacy Computing, Block Elements, Box Drawing and Geometric Shapes Unicode blocks. (en)
- Semigrafika lub pseudografika to sposób odwzorowania grafiki w trybie tekstowym przy użyciu odpowiedniej kompozycji znaków. Pozwalało to na emulację grafiki rastrowej bez konieczności użycia zaawansowanych układów graficznych i dużej ilości pamięci. Typowo tablica znaków komputera zawierała znaki specjalnie przeznaczone do tego celu. Jedyna metoda odwzorowania grafiki w komputerach tylko z trybem tekstowym. W urządzeniach z trybem graficznym i tekstowym używana ze względu na szybkość rysownia i znacznie mniejsze zużycie pamięci w trybie tekstowym. Jeśli komputer posiada tylko tryb graficzny, użycie semigrafiki nie jest celowe. Technika używana również w drukarkach do uzyskania szybkiego wydruku grafiki (często ramek) w trybie tekstowym, który był znaczne szybszy od wydruku w trybie graficznym. Grafika w teletekście tworzona jest przy użyciu semigrafiki należącej do drugiej grupy znaków, zawierającej znaki dodatkowe. Istnieje podobna technika – ASCII-Art, służąca do generowania rysunków, wykorzystująca wszystkie dostępne znaki, w tym alfanumeryczne. (pl)
