- Pipistrel Virus – luksusowy samolot ultralekki, produkowany przez firmę w miejscowości Ajdovscina w Słowenii. Jest najszybszym produkowanym seryjnie samolotem ultralekkim. * skórzaną tapicerkę 8 stycznia 2012 słoweński pilot odbył samolotem VIRUS SW lot dookoła świata w ramach wyprawy . Podczas lotu wykonał przelot nad szczytem Mount Everest na wysokości 29 413 ft (8 965 m). 19 kwietnia 2012 szczęśliwie wylądował w Słowenii stając się pierwszą na świecie osobą, która pokonała trasę 91 003 km bez asysty drugiego pilota. - De Pipistrel Virus is een Sloveens eenmotorig hoogdekker les- en sportvliegtuig. Het door vliegtuigbouwer Pipistrel geheel van composietmateriaal geconstrueerde trainingstoestel met twee zitplaatsen maakte zijn eerste vlucht op 10 augustus 1999. Van de Pipistrel Virus en Sinus vliegtuigserie zijn er totaal meer dan 1000 exemplaren gebouwd. De Virus is voortgekomen uit de Pipistrel Sinus. Het ontwerp heeft een side-by-side cockpit met daarachter een slanke kokervormige romp met T-staart. Het vliegtuig is geleverd in vele varianten met kortere en langere vleugels en verschillende Rotax benzinemotoren. Er is ook een elektrische versie van de Virus, de Pipistrel Velis Electro. Van 8 januari tot 19 april 2012 maakte de Sloveense piloot Matevž Lenarčičeen met een Pipistrel Virus een 100.000 kilometer lange solovlucht rond de wereld. (nl)
