- Le Pinstripe Bowl est un match annuel d'après-saison régulière de football américain de niveau universitaire organisé par la NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) se déroulant au Yankee Stadium dans le Bronx dans l'état de New York aux États-Unis. New Era Cap Company et les New York Yankees en sont les deux sponsors depuis sa création en 2010. Le match oppose jusqu'en 2013, le 4e de la conférence AAC (American Athletic Conference, ex Big East Conference) au 7e de la Big 12 Conference. Dans le cas où le septième de la Big 12 ne serait pas « éligible », c'est Notre Dame (équipe indépendante) qui recevrait l'invitation. Le match inaugural se déroula le 30 décembre 2010. La naissance de ce nouveau Bowl fut annoncée le 30 septembre 2009 lors d'une conférence de presse au Yankee Stadium en présence de Hal Steinbrenner (représentant les Yankees de New York), de Michael Bloomberg (maire de New York), de John Marinatto (représentant de la conférence Big East) et de Dan Beebe (représentant de la conférence Big 12). À la suite de l'accord donné par la NCAA en avril 2010, le Pinstripe Bowl devient donc le 35e bowl du calendrier d'après-saison. Il fut ainsi le premier bowl à se dérouler dans la région de New York depuis le "Garden State Bowl" de 1981 au « Giants Stadium » ayant opposé les universités de Tennessee et de Wisconsin mais également le premier bowl à se dérouler dans la ville même de New York depuis le "Gotham Bowl" de 1962 au stade originel des Yankees entre les universités de Miami et de Nebraska. Le gagnant du Bowl remporte le trophée "George M. Steinbrenner", du nom de l'ancien propriétaire des New York Yankees. Le payout du Bowl est en 2013 de 1 800 000 US$ par équipe et en 2014 de 2 000 000 US$. ESPN possède les droits de retransmission TV et Radio jusqu'en 2015. (fr)

First played in 2010, the game is organized by the New York Yankees, primary tenants of the venue, and is currently affiliated with the Atlantic Coast Conference and Big Ten Conference through 2025. The game previously had ties with the Big 12 Conference and the Big East Conference. The winner of the game is awarded the George M. Steinbrenner Trophy, while the David C. Koch MVP Trophy is awarded to the bowl's most valuable player. The Pinstripe Bowl is one of three FBS bowls held in the Northeast, the others being the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland and the Fenway Bowl, a game organized by the rival Boston Red Sox. It is also one of four bowls that are played outdoors in what are considered cold-weather cities, along with the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl held in Boise, Idaho. (en)
