- أومالي يشيتيلا (واسمه جوزيف وولر بالولادة، وُلد في 9 أكتوبر 1941) ثوريٌّ أفريقي وقائدٌ سياسي وعالِم نظريّ ومؤلف، وهو مؤسس حزب الشعب الأفريقي الاشتراكي ورئيسه، وهو الحزب الذي يقود حركة أوهورو. يُعرّف حزب الشعب الأفريقي الاشتراكي، وفق دستوره، بأنه «التحرّر المتقدّم للطبقة العاملة الأفريقية وطاقمها العام» الهادف إلى «تحرير أفريقيا والشعب الأفريقي وتوحيدهما تحت قيادة الطبقة العاملة الأفريقية بصفتها عنصرًا جوهريًا في الكفاح من أجل الإطاحة بالإمبريالية». أسس يشيتيلا صحيفة الرمح الحارِق، وهي الجريدة الرسمية للحزب الاشتراكي الشعبي الأفريقي التي بدأت النشر منذ عام 1968. يشيتيلا كاتبٌ وعالم نظريات أيضًا، يُشتهر بوضع النظرية السياسية الثورية المعروفة باسم «النزعة الدولية الأفريقية». يُعتَرف بدور يشيتيلا في ترويج مطالب تعويضات الشعب الأفريقي في الولايات المتحدة وباقي أنحاء العالم، فشغل منصب محامي الشعب في المحكمة الدولية الأولى المعنية بتعويضات السود في الولايات المتحدة حين أُقيمت في بروكلين، ضمن ولاية نيويورك، عام 1982. ألّف يشيتيلا الكثير من الكتب والكتيّبات، مثل الطليعة: التحرر المتقدم للثورة الأفريقية وتوازن غير مستقر: الثورة الأفريقية ضد الإمبريالية الطفيلية. - Omali Yeshitela (born Joseph Waller on October 9, 1941) is an African revolutionary, political leader, theoretician and author. He is the founder and chairman of the African People's Socialist Party, which leads the Uhuru Movement. According to its Constitution, the African People's Socialist Party is the "advanced detachment of the African working class and its general staff," pursuing the goal of "the liberation and unification of Africa and African people under the leadership of the African working class as a critical component of the struggle to overthrow imperialism." Yeshitela is the founder of The Burning Spear newspaper, the official journal of the African People's Socialist Party which has been in publication since 1968. Yeshitela is a writer and theoretician recognized for creating the revolutionary political theory known as "African Internationalism." Yeshitela is credited with popularizing the demand for reparations to African people in the U.S. and worldwide, having served as the People's Advocate at the First International Tribunal on Reparations to Black People in the U.S., held in Brooklyn, NY in 1982. He is the author of numerous books and pamphlets including Vanguard: Advanced Detachment of the African Revolution and An Uneasy Equilibrium: The African Revolution versus Parasitic Capitalism. (en)
