The 20th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Presidential Hangar of Aeropuerto Internacional "Lic. Adolfo López Mateos" of Toluca, Estado de México, Mexico on October 19, 2013. Thirty-three contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by from Baja California Sur who later competed in Miss Universe 2014 in United States. Garciglia was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Cynthia Duque. She is the first Sudcaliforniana to win this title.

Álvarez fue coronada por la Nuestra Belleza Mundo México saliente , la encargada de colocar la banda fue Betina Benítez, Secretaria de Turismo del Estado de México. Ella es la segunda Morelense en ganar este título. 4 meses después del concurso nacional, en febrero de 2014, la Organización Nuestra Belleza México designó a ​ de Aguascalientes como Nuestra Belleza Internacional México 2014 para representar al país en Miss Internacional 2014 en Japón donde fue Semifinalista en el Top 10. Así mismo, el día 12 de agosto de 2014, se hizo oficial la designación de Vanessa López​ como Reina Hispanoamericana México 2014 compitiendo en Reina Hispanoamericana 2014 en Bolivia donde fue Virreina Hispanoamericana. Por segundo año consecutivo y por sexta vez en la historia del concurso, dos finales fueron realizadas por separado para seleccionar a las Ganadoras de los títulos "Nuestra Belleza México" y "Nuestra Belleza Mundo México". El reconocimiento "Corona al Mérito" fue para Marisol González,​ Nuestra Belleza México 2002, actriz y Conductora de Televisión. (es)
