New Zealand hosted their first Women's Rugby World Cup which washeld from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first time that a country in the Southern Hemisphere has ever hosted a Rugby World Cup. The Black Ferns won their sixth title after defeating England in the final. (en)
