- Els murals d'Irlanda del Nord són uns murals que reflecteixen el conflicte en aquest país. Avui en dia, els murals polítics més famosos d'Irlanda del Nord estan relacionats amb el conflicte nord-irlandès. Des de 1970, s'han comptat més de 2.000 murals. El més habitual és que representin exclusivament una facció política de les enfrontades en aquest conflicte, ja sia la unionista o la republicana. Amb tot i això, hi ha murals dedicats a altres conflictes polítics, o bé sense significat específic. Amb el temps, i després de l'acord de Belfast, els murals s'han convertit en tota una atracció turística a Irlanda del Nord. (ca)

- Los Murales en Irlanda del Norte son un ejemplo de muralismo de carácter político, habiéndose convertido en símbolos históricos que describen esencialmente las divisiones pasadas y presentes de la región. En Irlanda del Norte, y principalmente motivados por el conflicto armado conocido como los Troubles, se encuentran algunos de los más famosos murales de simbología política. Desde la década de 1970 se han documentado casi dos mil. Lo más habitual es que representen exclusivamente una facción política de las enfrentadas en dicho conflicto, la unionista o la republicana irlandesa. Aun así, también existen murales dedicados a otros conflictos políticos, o incluso sin significación política alguna. Con el tiempo y tras la finalización del conflicto con el Acuerdo de Viernes Santo de 1998, los murales se han ido convirtiendo en una atracción turística del Ulster. (es)
- Murals in Northern Ireland have become symbols of Northern Ireland, depicting the region's past and present political and religious divisions. Belfast and Derry contain arguably the most famous political murals in Europe. It is believed that almost 2,000 murals have been documented since the 1970s. In 2014, the book, The Belfast Mural Guide estimated that, in Belfast, there were approximately 300 quality murals on display, with many more in varying degrees of age and decay. Murals commemorate, communicate and display aspects of culture and history. The themes of murals often reflect what is important to a particular community. A mural therefore exists to express an idea or message and could generally be seen as reflecting values held dear to that community. In Irish republican areas the themes of murals can range from the 1981 Irish hunger strike, with particular emphasis on strike leader Bobby Sands; murals of international solidarity with revolutionary groups are equally common, as are those which highlight a particular issue, for example the Ballymurphy Massacre or the McGurk's Bar bombing. In working class unionist communities, murals are used to promote Ulster loyalist paramilitary groups such as the Ulster Defence Association and Ulster Volunteer Force and commemorate their deceased members. However traditional themes such as William of Orange and the Battle of the Boyne, the Battle of the Somme and the 36th Ulster Division are equally common. (en)

Murale upamiętniają, komunikują i pokazują aspekty kultury i historii Irlandii Północnej. Na obszarach gdzie dominują „republikanie” czyli zwolennicy przyłączenia Irlandii Północnej do Republiki Irlandii (zobacz konflikt w Irlandii Północnej), tematy murali sięgają od irlandzkiego strajku głodowego w 1981, ze szczególnym naciskiem na przywódcę strajku Bobby’ego Sandsa, międzynarodowej solidarności z organizacjami rewolucyjnymi, do takich które podkreślają konkretną kwestię, na przykład masakrę w Ballymurphy (dzielnicy Belfastu) lub zdetonowanie bomby w McGurk’s Bar w Belfaście w 1971. W społecznościach związkowców z klasy robotniczej murale tworzone są w celu upamiętniania „unionistów” czyli organizacji popierających pozostanie Irlandii Północnej w Zjednoczonym Królestwie takich jak Ulster Defence Association i Ulster Volunteer Force oraz ich zmarłych członków.
