- El Grupo Islámico Combatiente Marroquí (GICM), Grupo Combatiente Islámico o Grupo Combatiente Marroquí es una organización terrorista islamista munafiq y yihadista afiliada a la red de Al Qaeda. El GICM es uno de los distintos grupos armados del norte de África que se formó en campos de entrenamiento de Al Qaeda en Afganistán en los años noventa. Junto con otros grupos vinculados a Al Qaeda, el GICM fue considerado como parte del terrorismo internacional por la Resolución 1267 del Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas, poco después de los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001. El GICM pretende instalar un régimen fundamentalista islámico en Marruecos, pero cuenta con miembros en toda Europa occidental y en Canadá. En mayo de 2003, en un atentado que llevó a cabo en Casablanca murieron 45 personas, entre ellas los 12 atacantes suicidas. - Le Groupe islamique combattant marocain (GICM) est une organisation armée islamiste sunnite affiliée à Al-Qaïda. Son principal fondateur est Abdelkrim al-Medjati, devenu émir pour le Maghreb et l’Europe après les attentats de Madrid. Selon les services secrets marocains, serait son chef militaire. Il est lié aux autres groupes islamiques takfiristes maghrébins. Un autre membre influent du groupe aurait été un certain Mohamed Moumou, également connu sous le nom d'Abou Qaswarah, mort en Irak en 2008. L'organisation est placée sur la liste officielle des organisations terroristes des États-Unis et du Royaume-Uni. Elle est considérée par l'ONU comme proche d'Al-Qaïda et à ce titre sanctionnée par le Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies. Le GICM aurait notamment recruté parmi les anciens militants de l'organisation islamiste clandestine marocaine Chabiba islamiya et de sa branche armée l'Organisation des combattants marocains. Il recrute activement en France, y compris des Français non-Maghrébins d’origine. Il est très fortement soupçonné d’être responsables des attentats de Casablanca (16 mai 2003), et de Madrid (11 mars 2004). Le 11 juillet 2007, huit militants présumés du Groupe islamique combattant marocain ont été condamnés à des peines de prison allant d'un an avec sursis à dix ans ferme. La condamnation la plus importante est celle de Mustafa Baouchi considéré comme le chef du groupe : 10 ans de prison dont 80 mois incompressibles. Aucun lien direct entre les condamnés de Paris et les attaques qui avaient touché un hôtel et des restaurants du centre de Casablanca n'a cependant pu être établi.[réf. nécessaire]Les autres condamnés sont Fouad Charouali, Rachid Aït El-Hadj, Bachir Goumid, Attila Turk et Redouane Aberbri. Le 12 mai 2007, des organisations politiques françaises de gauche (LDH, MRAP, PCF et Verts) organisent une manifestation de soutien aux membres du GICM jugés en France pour leur soutien aux attentats de Casablanca. Une revue marocaine, diffusée à la fin des années 1990 devant la mosquée de Crémone, en Italie, organe officiel de propagande du mouvement, préconise le djihad pour renverser les institutions marocaines et éradiquer chrétiens et juifs. , imam de la Mosquée deCrémone suit un entraînement en Afghanistan, grâce à un faux passeport, via le Koweït et le Pakistan, à Khulm, de novembre 1997 à avril 1998, et rentre en Italie, avant de purger une peine de huit ans de prison. De organisatie is beter bekend onder haar Franse naam: Groupe Islamique Combattant Marocain (GICM). De GICM ontstond rond 1990, het is niet duidelijk of de groep nog steeds actief is. GICM is een Noord-Afrikaanse terreurorganisaties die is ontstaan in Afghanistan gedurende het bewind van de Taliban. In Noord-Afrika zijn meer gelijksoortige islamitische organisaties te vinden die uit dezelfde periode stammen, zoals Al-Jama’a al-Islamiyyah al-Muqatilah bi-Libya (Libische Islamitische Gevechtsgroep). Net als andere aan Al Qaida gelieerde organisaties wordt de GICM door de Verenigde Staten sinds de aanslagen op 11 september 2001 in New York bestempeld als terroristische organisatie, de organisatie komt voor op de Amerikaanse terreurlijst. Ook in het Verenigd Koninkrijk wordt de groep gezien als terreurorganisatie, de Britten verboden de organisatie. Lidmaatschap van de GICM kan in Engeland bestraft worden met een gevangenisstraf van maximaal tien jaar. De vermoedelijke leider van de GICM was , hij is in Marokko veroordeeld tot 20 jaar cel wegens zijn betrokkenheid bij de aanslag in Casablanca. Al-Guerbouzi woont sinds 1980 in Engeland, hier leeft hij als vrij man. Al-Geurbouzi wordt ook verdacht van betrokkenheid bij de terroristische aanslagen in Londen van 7 juli 2005. In 2007 publiceerde de United States Department of State haar jaarlijkse Country Reports on Terrorism, hierin stelt ze dat de GICM uit elkaar gevallen is. De meeste leiders in Marokko en Europa zouden gedood zijn of gevangenzitten. Er was op dat moment geen aanleiding te veronderstellen dat er nieuwe leiders waren opgestaan. De Departement of State waarschuwt wel voor extremistische individuen die gelieerd zijn of waren aan de GICM, volgens het rapport zijn die individuen vooral te vinden in de West-Europees Marokkaanse diaspora.
