Març de 1940 a Londres ) era una treballadora social jueva txecoslovaca, sionista convençuda i presidenta del Comitè Nacional de Coordinació de Refugiats a Txecoslovàquia. Als anys 30, va ajudar a salvar milers de refugiats principalment jueus de la persecució dels nazis. El juliol del 1938 va ser l'única delegada de Txecoslovàquia a assistir a la Conferència d'Evian sobre els refugiats jueus. Amb l'ajut de Nicholas Winton, va organitzar l'acció humanetària per salvar infants, sobretot jueus, l'anomenat " Kindertransporte " a Gran Bretanya. (ca)

Ve 30. letech zachránila tisíce uprchlíků před nacistickou perzekucí. K jejím spolupracovníkům patřili Milena Jesenská, Max Brod a Nicholas Winton. Jako jediná delegátka Československa se zúčastnila konference v Évianu o židovských uprchlících v červenci 1938. (cs)

In den 1930er-Jahren half sie, Tausende von hauptsächlich jüdischen Flüchtlingen vor der Verfolgung durch die Nationalsozialisten zu retten. Als einzige Delegierte der Tschechoslowakei nahm sie im Juli 1938 an der Konferenz von Évian über jüdische Flüchtlinge teil. Mit Hilfe von Nicholas Winton organisierte sie die sogenannten „Kindertransporte“ nach Großbritannien. (de)
- Marie Schmolka (née Eisner; 23 June 1893 – 27 March 1940) was a Czechoslovak Jewish activist and social worker who helped political refugees and Jewish adults and children escape the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the lead-up to World War II. She was a member of WIZO and WILPF. She had previously helped refugees from Germany who fled to Czechoslovakia after the Nazi rise to power. Schmolka headed the newly founded Czechoslovak Refugee Committee, and also chaired local HICEM. In July 1938, she represented Czechoslovakia at the Évian conference. Together with Doreen Warriner from the British Committee for Refugees from Czechoslovakia and Martin Blake, she invited the Nicholas Winton to Prague, where Winton helped with their Kindertransporte scheme. In August 1939, she was sent by Adolf Eichmann to negototiate Jewish emigration from Central Europe to Paris on a JOINT conference. Caught up by the outbreak of the Second World War, she relocated to London and continued her work for refugees as part of the Bloomsbury House. She moved in with her old friend, suffragist and pacifist Mary Sheepshanks in Gospel Oak, Lissenden Gardens. She died on 27 March 1940 following a heart attack. Her funeral in Golders Green cemetery was attended by Jan Masaryk, Rebecca Sieff, wife of the Czechoslovak president Hana Benešová, Wenzel Jaksch, as well as many leading personalities of British Jewry and Czechoslovak emigration.
