- The list of Zeta Tau Alpha chapters includes the undergraduate and alumnae chapters of Zeta Tau Alpha women's fraternity. Chapters in ΖΤΑ are referred to as "links", which references the Fraternity's chain of chapters, a fraternity tradition where each installed ΖΤΑ chapter is represented on a silver chain link, attached, in a line, to Alpha chapter's original gold link. Zeta Tau Alpha chapters utilize a naming convention following the order of the Greek alphabet. Beginning with the 26th link, upon finishing a round of Greek letters, the next class of chapters are granted the next Greek letter prefix, starting with Alpha (ex. Alpha Alpha, Alpha Beta, Alpha Gamma.) The prefix Epsilon was skipped as a class and as such, chapters installed after the Delta class were given the prefix Zeta instead. Occasionally, chapter designations will reflect special circumstances surrounding the chapter's founding rather than the order of the Greek alphabet. Today, new chapters are not given an official chapter designation or link number until they are installed; chapters being re-installed keep their original chapter designation, regardless of when recolonization occurs.
