Es la tercera línea por número de estaciones (tras la línea 1 y la 5), contando con 31 (igual que la línea 7), con andenes de 115 metros entre Tres Olivos y Puerta del Sur y de 90 m entre Montecarmelo y Hospital Infanta Sofía; y es también la tercera por longitud (tras la línea 12 y la 9), con 36,514 km de vías en túnel de gálibo ancho. La línea está dividida para su explotación comercial en dos tramos independientes en la estación de Tres Olivos, donde existe un andén central en el que es preciso cambiar de tren. El paso de la zona "central" de la línea hacia el "ámbito Metronorte" es directo, sin introducir billete, pero se necesita el título de transporte correspondiente para salir por los torniquetes de las estaciones comprendidas entre La Granja y Hospital Infanta Sofía. En sentido contrario el paso requiere introducir un billete válido para Metro de Madrid en Tres Olivos. - Line 10 of the Madrid Metro is a rapid transit line in Madrid that is actually the product of two formerly separate lines. Today the route begins at Hospital Infanta Sofía (San Sebastián de los Reyes) and ends at Puerta del Sur (Alcorcón). Passengers must transfer at Tres Olivos between the "line 10A" segment, which covers the portion of the route south of the station, and "line 10B," which extends north to Hospital Infanta Sofía. Line 10 provides access to the Cuatro Torres Business Area at Begoña station, the AZCA at Nuevos Ministerios, as well as the Chamartín Railway station, Plaza de Castilla, Plaza de España, Principe Pío and Casa de Campo. È l'unica linea della rete che ha entrambi i capolinea al di fuori del territorio della città di Madrid. È la terza linea per numero di stazione, dopo la linea 1 e la linea 5, con 31 stazioni; è inoltre la terza linea per estensione, dopo la linea 12 e la linea 9, con 36,514 km di lunghezza. La linea rappresenta una connessione rapida tra tutte le varie linee, fatta eccezione per la linea 11. La linea inizia il suo percorso nel comune di Alcorcón attraversa la capitale e termina il suo percorso nel comune di San Sebastián de los Reyes. La linea è divisa in due sezioni indipendenti nella stazione di Tres Olivos, dove c'è una binario centrale in cui è necessario cambiare il treno. Infatti in questa stazione bisogna effettuare un cambio di treno per poter continuare sia in direzione di Puerta del Sur che in direzione di Hospital Infanta Sofía e a questa stazione corrisponde un cambio di tariffa. È indicata con il colore blu. La sua inaugurazione risale al 1º febbraio 1961 e l'ultimo prolungamento al 26 aprile 2007. (it)
