- Kryštof Harant z Polžic a Bezdružic (1564 Klenová – 21. června 1621 Praha) byl český šlechtic z rodu Harantů z Polžic a Bezdružic, spisovatel, válečník, diplomat, cestovatel a hudebník. V roce 1598 podnikl cestu do Svaté země a Egypta a popsal ji v cestopisu (1608). Za svou účast v českém stavovském povstání byl v roce 1621 katem Janem Mydlářem sťat na Staroměstském náměstí v Praze. Inter 1600-1612 li estis ĉambelano de imperiestro Rudolfo la 2-a. En la jaroj 1618-1920 li batalis kontraŭ Habsburgoj en la insurekcio de protestantoj kontraŭ katolikoj. Post la malvenka batalo apud Prago li estis kondamnita al morto kaj ekzekutita kun 26 aliaj bohemiaj nobeloj en la Malnovurba Placo en Prago. Ĉiujn ekzekutis ekzekutisto Jan Mydlář. (eo)
- Kryštof Harant of Polžice and Bezdružice (Czech: Kryštof Harant z Polžic a Bezdružic, 1564 – 21 June 1621) was a Czech nobleman, traveler, humanist, soldier, writer and composer. He joined the Protestant Bohemian Revolt in the Lands of the Bohemian Crown against the House of Habsburg that led to Thirty Years' War. Following the victory of Catholic forces in the Battle of White Mountain, Harant was executed in the mass Old Town Square execution by the Habsburgs. As a composer he represented the school of Franco-Flemish polyphony in Bohemia. Harant is also noted for his expedition to the Middle East summarized in a travel book Journey from Bohemia to the Holy Land, by way of Venice and the Sea (1608). (en)
