- Die Kenya and Uganda Railways and Harbours betrieb von 1926 bis 1948 Eisenbahnen (in Meterspur), Häfen, sowie See- und Flussfähren in Kenia und Uganda. Die Gesellschaft entstand am 26. Februar 1926 durch Umbenennung der Uganda Railway in Kenya and Uganda Railways (KUR). Am 27. Dezember 1927 wurde der Name in Kenya and Uganda Railway and Harbours (KUR&H) geändert. 1936 besaß die Gesellschaft 148 Lokomotiven, 350 Personenwagen, 43 Gepäckwagen und 3999 Güterwagen, inkl. 5 Kühlwagen. Sie verfügte außerdem über 18 Dampfschiffe, sowie 54 Leichterschiffe und Fähren. Schon 1926 hatte die KUR mit der Baureihe EC die weltweit ersten Garratt-Lokomotiven mit der Achsfolge (2'D1')(1'D2') angeschafft, und auch die 1939 bestellten Maschinen der Baureihe EC3 waren mit der Achsfolge (2'D2')(2'D2') die ersten ihrer Art. Am 1. Mai 1948 wurde die KUR&H mit der zur East African Railways and Harbours Administration (EAR&H) verschmolzen. (de)
- Kenya and Uganda Railways and Harbours (KURH) ran harbours, railways and lake and river ferries in Kenya Colony and the Uganda Protectorate from 26. February 1926 until 1. May 1948. It included the Uganda Railway, which it extended from Nakuru to Kampala in 1931. In the same year it built a branch line to Mount Kenya. After 1930 a new KURH steamer, the 860 tonne SS Robert Coryndon, established a fortnightly passenger and cargo service between Butiaba on Lake Albert and Kasenyi on Lake George. Sir Winston Churchill said she was "the best library afloat" and Ernest Hemingway called her "magnificence on water". In 1946 the 350-ton stern-wheel paddle steamer PS Lugard II replaced the old Uganda Railway steamer on the Albert Nile river service between Pakwach in Uganda and Nimule in Sudan. In 1948 the East African High Commission was formed and KURH was merged with the railways of the Tanganyika Territory. The new East African Railways and Harbours Corporation provided rail, harbour and inland shipping services in all three territories until the High Commission's successor, the East African Community, was dissolved by its member states in 1977.
