- أحداث الجلاّز، هو الاسم الذي أطلق على الاحتجاجات العنيفة التي شهدتها تونس العاصمة في نوفمبر 1911 ضد سلطات الحماية بعد قيام بلدية تونس، الخاضعة لسلطتها، بتقديم طلب لتسجيل أرض مقبرة الجلاّز في السجل العقاري. عدلت البلدية عن تقديم الطلب إثر احتجاجات التونسيين، إلا أن قرارها لم ينشر في الجرائد المحلية. اندلعت في النهاية، في 7 نوفمبر 1911 مصادمات عنيفة بين المتظاهرين وقوات الأمن الفرنسية، استمرت إلى اليوم التالي. أسفرت المواجهات إلى مقتل عدد من الأشخاص من الطرفين، كما تخللها مصادمات مع الجالية الإيطالية على خلفية الغزو الإيطالي لليبيا. أقيمت عام 1912 محاكمة للمشاركين في المصادمات، أسفرت على أحكام تتراوح بين الأشغال الشاقة والإعدام بحق 25 شخص. - The Jellaz Affair (Arabic: أحداث ٱلجلّاز Aḥdāth ul-Jallāz) (French: Affaire du Djellaz) was a violent confrontation in November 1911 between Tunisian protesters and the authorities of the French Protectorate of Tunisia which began at the Jellaz Cemetery. Over the course of two days, it became a series of fights and attacks in the streets, primarily involving Tunisians and Italian settlers. It was the most serious outbreak of violence in Tunis, and the first time French soldiers fired on the civilian population, since the establishment of the Protectorate in 1881. It was therefore a critical juncture in the development of the Tunisian nationalist movement. (en)
- L'affaire du Djellaz (arabe : أحداث الجلاّز) est une affaire judiciaire tunisienne découlant d'une émeute intervenue les 7 et 8 novembre 1911 autour du cimetière du Djellaz, le plus grand cimetière de Tunis, dont les conséquences ont été dramatiques. Elle s'inscrit dans le contexte de la conquête par l'Italie de la Tripolitaine voisine. L'affaire souligne la maladresse des autorités du protectorat français à gérer leur communication. Même s'il n'existe aucune similitude avec la spontanéité des émeutiers du Djellaz, l'action concertée du boycott des tramways tunisois en 1912 s'inscrit dans le contexte de tension née avec l'affaire du Djellaz.
