- العلاقات الباكستانية العراقية هي العلاقات الدولية بين دولتي جمهورية العراق وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، حيث لدى العراق سفارة في مدينة إسلام آباد ولدى باكستان سفارة في بغداد، وذلك منذ سنة 1947 عندما تم تشكيل دولة باكستان حيث كان العراق أول بلد عربي يعترف بإستقلال باكستان، وكان كلا البلدين عضوين في حلف بغداد بقيادة الولايات المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة، بعد ثورة 14 تموز في سنة 1958 تحول الحلف إلى عداوة وذلك بعد أن فتح العراق علاقات مع الاتحاد السوفيتي، إلا أن العلاقات عادت في سنة 1971 بعد وقوف العراق مع دول الخليج الأخرى مع باكستان في الحرب الباكستانية الهندية عام 1971، إلا أن العلاقات تعقدت بعد الحرب العراقية الإيرانية، وإزدادت سوءاً بعد غزو العراق للكويت حيث قامت باكستان بإرسال قواتها مع الناتو لتحرير الكويت في سنة 1991، وتحفظت باكستان عن غزو العراق ووقفت تقريباً بجانب الولايات المتحدة، إلا أن العلاقات عادت بعد سقوط نظام صدام حسين. - Iraq–Pakistan relations refer to the bilateral ties between the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Cultural interaction and economic trade between Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley date back to 1800 BCE. In 1955, both Iraq and Pakistan joined the Baghdad Pact, a military alliance against the Soviet Union. However, when the king of Iraq was assassinated in 1958, Iraq pulled out of the Baghdad Pact, which was subsequently renamed to the Central Treaty Organization (CENTO). During the Ba'athist era, high levels of tension persisted between Iraq and Pakistan due to a number of conflicting interests between the two states, such as Iraq's support for Baloch rebel groups in Pakistan and Iran, Pakistan's support for Iran during the Iran–Iraq War, Pakistan's participation with the United States-led coalition against Iraq during the Gulf War, and Iraq's support for India against Pakistan with regards to the Kashmir conflict. However, following the 2003 invasion of Iraq that toppled the Ba'athist government, bilateral relations have stabilized; Pakistan has supported Iraq in its fight against the Islamic State and other militant groups active in the Iraqi conflict. Iraq maintains an embassy in Islamabad while Pakistan maintains an embassy in Baghdad. (en)
