- La Federació Internacional de Corfbol (International Korfball Federation, IKF) es va fundar a Anvers (Bèlgica) l'11 de juny de 1933 com a continuació de la International Korfball Bureau establerta el 1924 per les associacions holandesa i belga. La seu és a Zeist (Països Baixos). Aplega 63 federacions internacionals. La IKF va ser reconeguda oficialment pel Comitè olímpic Internacional (COI) l'any 1993 i s'afilià a l'antiga Associació General de Federacions d'Esports Internacionals (General Association of International Sports Federations, GAISF) -actualment Sportaccord-, la Association of the IOC Recognized International Sports Federations (ARISF) i la International World Games Association (IWGA). La IKF aspira a estendre el corfbol al voltant del globus. Dona suport financer, material, i estructural als països afiliats per aconseguir aquest objectiu. Ha establert una xarxa de contactes a molts països i promou activament el joc transferint coneixement internacionalment mitjançant programes d'intercanvi i convidant als jugadors de corfbol seleccionats, entrenadors i administradors als seus cursos d'aprenentatge. L'any 2011 es va decidir fer una reestructuració general basant-se en federacions continentals per afavorir el desenvolupament d'aquest esport arreu del món, creant l'IKF Àfrica, IKF Amèrica, IKF Àsia, IKF Europa i IKF Oceania. Això va suposar la supressió de l'única federació regional descentralitzada existent, la d'Àsia-Oceania, per fer-ne dues de noves. La IKF també publica un llistat en el que es classifica a les seleccions internacionals de corfbol atenent els resultats aconseguits durant l'any. (ca)
- Mezinárodní korfbalová federace (IKF) je řídícím orgánem korfbalu. IKF je zodpovědný za organizaci významných mezinárodních turnajů v korfbalu, zejména za . IKF vznikla dne 11. června 1933 v Antverpách v Belgii jako pokračování Mezinárodní kanceláře korfbalu založené v roce 1924 nizozemskými a belgickými asociacemi. Sídlo společnosti je v Zeistu (Nizozemsko). IKF je oficiálně uznáván Mezinárodním olympijským výborem (IOC) od roku 1993 a je přidružen k SportAccord, (ARISF) a Mezinárodní asociaci světových her (IWGA). IKF se snaží šířit korfbal po celém světě a zvýšit úroveň hry v přidružených zemích. IKF má v současné době 67 členských zemí. Poskytuje přidruženým zemím prostřednictvím pěti kontinentálních konfederací (Afrika, Amerika, Asie, Evropa a Oceánie) finanční, materiální a strukturální podporu k dosažení cílů. V mnoha zemích vytvořila síť kontaktů a neustále rozšiřuje tuto síť. IKF aktivně propaguje hru přenosem znalostí na mezinárodní úrovni prostřednictvím výměnných programů a vyzývá vybrané korfbalové hráče, trenéry a administrátory k výcvikovým kurzům, aby pomohla při vytváření stabilní místní organizace a struktury ve všech přidružených zemích. Die IKF wurde 1993 offiziell vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee anerkannt und gehört dem Allgemeinen Verband internationaler Sportverbände, der ARISF und dem Internationalen Verband für Weltspiele an. - The International Korfball Federation (IKF) is the governing body of korfball. IKF is responsible for the organisation of korfball's major international tournaments, notably the IKF World Korfball Championship. The IKF was founded on 11 June 1933 in Antwerp, Belgium as a continuation of the established in 1924 by the Dutch and Belgian Associations. The headquarters is in Utrecht, Netherlands, since December 2020, moving from Zeist. The IKF is officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1993 and is affiliated to SportAccord, the Association of the IOC Recognized International Sports Federations (ARISF) and the International World Games Association (IWGA). The IKF aims to spread korfball around the globe and increase the level of play in the affiliated countries. The IKF has 69 member countries. It provides the affiliated countries via five Continental Confederations (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania) with financial, material and structural support to achieve the goals. It has established a network of contacts in many countries and is constantly expanding this network. IKF actively promotes the game by transferring knowledge internationally by exchange programs and inviting selected korfball players, coaches and administrators to its training courses in order to assist in the creation of a stable local organization and structure in all the affiliated countries. In response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, on March 1, 2022, the International Korfball Federation announced that the Russian Korfball Federation would not be invited until further notice to any international korfball competition. This implied effectively that no Russian athletes shall take part in any international korfball event. Furthermore, the Russian Korfball Federation shall not be eligible to bid for the hosting of any IKF event until further notice, and no IKF events were planned in Russia. (en)
