- L’Institut Nacional per la Recerca Agronòmica (oficialment en francés Institut national de la recherche agronomique o INRA) era un organisme francès amb seu a París fundat el 1946 i dedicat a investigacions agronòmiques orientades. El seu president era, des del 2016, , i comptava amb un pressupost de 877,6 milions d’euros. L’1 de gener de 2020 es va fusionar amb l', l'Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies pour l'environnement et l'agriculture (Institut nacional d’investigació en ciències i tecnologies pel medi ambient i l’agricultura), per donar lloc a l’Institut national de recherche pour l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l'environment (INRAE). El 1984 s’havia convertit en un institut públic de caràcter científic i tecnològic (EPST, sota la tutela del i del ). Va ser el primer institut d’investigació agronòmica a nivell europeu i segon a nivell mundial, l’INRA duia a terme investigacions orientades amb vista a una alimentació adaptada, un medi ambient preservat i una agricultura competitiva i sostenible que respecti els territoris i els recursos naturals. - Das Institut national de la recherche agronomique (INRA, Nationales Institut für Agronomieforschung) war eine französische staatliche Forschungsorganisation im Bereich der Agronomie. 2020 wurde es mit der Forschungseinrichtung IRSTEA verschmolzen zum nationalen Forschungsinstitut für Landwirtschaft, Lebensmittelwesen und Umwelt, INRAE. Das INRA wurde wie seine Geschwister CNRS, INSERM, INRIA und CEA 1946 unter der gemeinsamen Aufsicht der Ministerien für Forschung und Landwirtschaft gegründet und ist auf biologische Fragestellungen mit einer Anwendbarkeit in der Landwirtschaft spezialisiert. Das Gesetz hierzu wurde am 18. Mai 1946 u. a. von François Tanguy-Prigent unterzeichnet. Mit etwa 13000 Angestellten, davon 1849 Wissenschaftler, sowie Ingenieure, Techniker und Verwaltungsmitarbeiter, Doktoranden und etwa 1000 ausländischen Gaststudenten und Forschern, ist es nach Publikationen die weltweit zweitgrößte Organisation für agronomische Fragestellungen und die größte in Europa. Das Budget betrug 2017 ca. 851 Millionen Euro. Im Mai 2019 wurde bekannt gegeben, dass die Organisation ab dem 1. Januar 2020 unter den Namen Institut national de recherche pour l'agriculture, l'alimentation et l'environnement (INRAE) mit dem Centre National du Machinisme Agricole du Génie Rural des Eaux et des Forêts (kurz: CEMAGREF, auf deutsch wörtlich Nationales Zentrum für landwirtschaftliches Maschinenwesen und für Wald- und Wassermelioration um ländlichen Raum) fusioniert wird. Das Dekret, das diese Fusion formalisiert, wurde am 10. Oktober 2019 unterzeichnet. (de)

- The Institut national de la recherche agronomique (INRA, pronounced [inʁa]; English: National Institute of Agricultural Research) was a French public research institute dedicated to agricultural science. It was founded in 1946 and is a Public Scientific and Technical Research Establishment under the joint authority of the Ministries of Research and Agriculture. From 1 January 2020 the INRA merged with the IRSTEA (Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies pour l'environnement et l'agriculture) to create the INRAE (Institut national de recherche pour l'agriculture, l'alimentation et l'environnement). INRA led projects of targeted research for a sustainable agriculture, a safeguarded environment and a healthy and high quality food. Based on the number of publications in agricultural sciences/crops and animal sciences, INRA was the first institute for agricultural research in Europe, and the second in the world.
