- Die Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft GmbH (kurz: INSM) ist eine im Jahr 2000 vom Arbeitgeberverband Gesamtmetall gegründete und von Arbeitgeberverbänden finanzierte Lobbyorganisation. Die INSM ist ein Tochterunternehmen des Instituts der deutschen Wirtschaft. Sie verfolgt das Ziel, durch Öffentlichkeitsarbeit ihre politischen Botschaften bei Entscheidern und in der Bevölkerung zu verankern. Die Bereitschaft für wirtschaftsliberale Reformen soll erhöht werden, insbesondere strebt die INSM Deregulierung und Privatisierung bei der Arbeitsmarkt-, Sozial- und Tarifpolitik an, eine wettbewerbsorientierte Bildungspolitik, sowie eine Abschwächung klimapolitischer Maßnahmen. Die Initiative ist bundesweit für ihre Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Kampagnen bekannt. Dabei werden manche ihrer Tätigkeiten und Kampagnen wiederholt kontrovers diskutiert und rufen öffentliche Kritik hervor. (de)

Through professional communication, the INSM tries to create a favorable climate for free-market economic reforms, and entrepreneurship, emphasizing individual responsibility and competitiveness. Well-known economic and political experts closely associated with the INSM and serving as "INSM ambassadors" include Roland Berger, , Hans Tietmeyer, Wolfgang Clement, Paul Kirchhof, , Silvana Koch-Mehrin, and others.
