- نقع الاكيمة السفلية Inferior Colliculus على الوجه الخلفي دماغ متوسط Med-brain وتعد الأكيمة السفلية مركز سمعي سفلي . إلى الاعلى منهما نلاحظ وجود الاكيمة العلوية Superior Colliculus التي تعد مركز للمنعكسات البصرية . ينبثق على الخط الناصف تحت الاكيمة السفلية عصب بكري الذي يلتف حول الوجه الوحشي للدماغ المتوسط ليدخل الجدار الوحشي جيب كهفي . وعلى الوجه الوحشي للدماغ المتوسط يصعد عضدا الاكيمتين في اتجاه امامي ووحشي . بحيث يمر العضد العلوي من إلى الجسم الركبي الوحشي و بينما يربط العضد السفلي الاكيمة السفلية إلى الجسم الركبي الانسي . - Die Colliculi inferiores („untere Hügelchen“, Singular Colliculus inferior; bei Tieren Colliculi caudales – „hintere Hügelchen“; von lateinisch collis „Hügel“) sind die beiden unteren (hinteren) Hügel des Mittelhirndachs (Tectum mesencephali). Zusammen mit den oberen Hügeln (Colliculi superiores) bilden sie die Vierhügelplatte (Lamina quadrigemina oder Lamina tecti). Der Colliculus inferior ist zentraler Teil des auditorischen Systems der Säuger. Die Nervenzellen (Neuronen) der Colliculi inferiores erhalten erregende und hemmende Impulse von Neuronen der tiefer gelegenen Kerne der Hörbahn (unter anderem aus dem Nucleus cochlearis und dem Nucleus olivaris superior) wie auch Rückprojektionen von der Hörrinde. Die zentralen Bereiche der Colliculi inferiores haben eine tonotope Organisation, wobei die Frequenzachse von dorsal (tiefe Frequenzen) nach ventral (hohe Frequenzen) verläuft. Die Nervenfasern, die vom Lemniscus lateralis kommen, erreichen die Colliculi inferiores und ziehen über das zum Corpus geniculatum mediale, einem Teil des Metathalamus. Hier werden sie auf die letzten aufsteigenden Neuronen verschaltet, deren Fasern nun zu den Gyri temporales transversi ziehen. Da die Fasern zum Teil gekreuzt und ungekreuzt verlaufen, kommt es bei einer einseitigen Schädigung des Colliculus inferior zu einer Verminderung des Hörvermögens der Gegenseite, nicht aber zum vollständigen Hörverlust. - The inferior colliculus (IC) (Latin for lower hill) is the principal midbrain nucleus of the auditory pathway and receives input from several peripheral brainstem nuclei in the auditory pathway, as well as inputs from the auditory cortex. The inferior colliculus has three subdivisions: the central nucleus, a dorsal cortex by which it is surrounded, and an external cortex which is located laterally. Its bimodal neurons are implicated in auditory-somatosensory interaction, receiving projections from somatosensory nuclei. This multisensory integration may underlie a filtering of self-effected sounds from vocalization, chewing, or respiration activities. The inferior colliculi together with the superior colliculi form the eminences of the corpora quadrigemina, and also part of the tectal region of the midbrain. The inferior colliculus lies caudal to its counterpart – the superior colliculus – above the trochlear nerve, and at the base of the projection of the medial geniculate nucleus and the lateral geniculate nucleus.
