- Nezávislost / Demokracie byla euroskeptická politická skupina působící v Evropském parlamentu v období 2004 - 2009. Skupina měla na konci funkčního období 22 poslanců (na začátku funkčního období bylo 37) z devíti zemí (Česko, Dánsko, Francie, Německo, Řecko, Nizozemsko, Irsko, Polsko, Švédsko, Spojené království), včetně tří Poláků. Počet členů skupiny, včetně snížené po odchodu sedmi z 10 poslanců zvolených ze seznamu Ligy polských rodin. (cs)

- La Frakcio Sendependeco kaj Demokratio estas eŭroposkeptikisma frakcio en la Eŭropa Parlamento. Ĝi daŭrigas la laboron de la antaŭa, intertempe malfondita frakcio "Eŭropo de Demokratioj kaj de Diverseco" (EDD). Ĉefa celo de la frakcio estas renuligi la influon de la instancoj de la Eŭropa Unio al la naciaj membroŝtatoj kaj restarigi plenan politikan suverenecon de la unuopaj ŝtatoj. Post kiam dum februaro 2006 la tiama ministro pri reformoj de Italio, , produktigis T-ĉemizojn kun karikaturaĵoj pri Mahometo kaj montris ilin en televida intervjuo, sekve de kio en Libio erupciis perfortaj protestoj kaj mortis 11 homoj, rezulte la kvar parlamentanoj de la itala partio Lega Nord ("Ligo Norda") estis malmembrigitaj el la frakcio. Post la al la frakcio apartenas parlamentanoj el naŭ diversaj eŭropaj landoj. Kun nur 24 parlamentanoj la frakcio estas la dua plej malgranda frakcio de la Eŭropa Parlamento - nur la Frakcio Identeco, Tradicio, Suvereneco pli etas. - Die Fraktion Unabhängigkeit/Demokratie (Ind/Dem von Englisch: „Independence/Democracy Group“) war eine europakritische Fraktion in der 6. Wahlperiode des Europäischen Parlaments. Sie war der Nachfolger der Fraktion Europa der Demokratien und der Unterschiede (EDD). Hauptziel der Ind/Dem war es, den Einfluss der Europäischen Union auf die nationalen Regierungen zu reduzieren (siehe Subsidiarität). Mit 37 Parlamentsmitgliedern bei der Konstituierung war die Ind/Dem die kleinste Fraktion im Europäischen Parlament. Bis zum Ende der Legislaturperiode schrumpfte die Fraktion auf 22 Mitglieder. Die Fraktion hatte die niedrigsten Kohäsionsrate, d. h. die größten Unterschiede im Abstimmungsverhalten ihrer Mitglieder, und die Fraktion, deren Mitglieder am wenigsten an den Parlamentssitzungen teilnahmen. An der Spitze der Fraktion standen der Brite Nigel Farage (UKIP) und die Dänin Hanne Dahl (JuniBevægelsen). Bei der Europawahl 2009 konnten einige der Mitgliedsparteien nicht mehr in das Europaparlament einziehen, insbesondere die Mitglieder der EUDemokraten. Die Fraktion hatte theoretisch noch 18 Mitglieder, zu wenig, um weiterhin den Fraktionsstatus zu behalten. W skład grupy wchodziło pod koniec kadencji 22 posłów (na początku kadencji było ich 37) z dziewięciu państw (Czechy, Dania, Francja, Grecja, Holandia, Irlandia, Polska, Szwecja, Wielka Brytania), w tym 3 Polaków. Liczba członków grupy zmniejszyła się m.in. wskutek odejścia 7 z 10 posłów wybranych z listy Ligi Polskich Rodzin. Współprzewodniczącymi Grupy IND/DEM byli: Brytyjczyk Nigel Farage i Duńczyk Jens-Peter Bonde, którego pod koniec kadencji zastępowały dwie kobiety (najpierw w 2008 Irlandka Kathy Sinnott, następnie od 2008 Dunka Hanne Dahl).
