- Als Hypervideo bezeichnet man eine Variante von Hypermedia, bei der als Basismedium Video-Dateien eingesetzt werden. Die Inhalte der Videos werden dabei durch Hyperlinks, sogenannte Hotspots, ergänzt. Als erste Hypervideo-Anwendung gilt die „Aspen Moviemap“. (de)
- Hypervideo, or hyperlinked video, is a displayed video stream that contains embedded, interactive anchors, allowing navigation between video and other hypermedia elements. Hypervideo is thus analogous to hypertext, which allows a reader to click on a word in one document and retrieve information from another document, or from another place in the same document. Hypervideo combines video with a non-linear information structure, allowing a user to make choices based on the content of the video and the user's interests. A crucial difference between hypervideo and hypertext is the element of time. Text is normally static, while a video is necessarily dynamic; the content of the video changes with time. Consequently, hypervideo has different technical, aesthetics, and rhetorical requirements than a static hypertext page. For example, hypervideo might involve the creation of a link from an object in a video that is visible for only a certain duration. It is therefore necessary to segment the video appropriately and add the metadata required to link from frames—or even objects—in a video to the pertinent information in other media forms. (en)

- L'ipervideo o video con ancore è un flusso video che contiene delle ancore o link cliccabili dall'utente, permettendo una navigazione tra i video e altre elementi ipermediali.l'ipervideo è l'analogo di un ipertesto, che permette di navigare tra diversi testi di uno stesso documento attraverso le parole del testo stesso.L'ipervideo combina i video in una struttura informativa lineare, permettendo scelte basate sul contenuto del video e sugli interessi dell'utente. Una differenza cruciale tra l'ipervideo e l'pertesto è l'elemento temporale: un testo è statico mentre il video è dinamico. Di conseguenza si adotteranno diverse tecniche per creare un collegamento tra un oggetto presente nel video e un altro video, tenendo contro anche della durata della presenza dell'oggetto medesimo nel video.Bisognerà necessariamente segmentare il video appropriatamente e aggiungere i metadati richiesti per collegare l'oggetto a un video pertinente ad esso. L'ipervideo viene utilizzato, negli ultimi anni, anche nella didattica, trasformandola in "didattica attiva", al fine di migliorare il processo di insegnamento-apprendimento. Questo si è rivelato utile per spiegare il contenuto delle varie discipline, dando suggerimenti ai docenti sia per la parte tecnica, ossia come utilizzare il video in classe, sia per le strategie d'uso, per evitare percorsi noiosi. Гипервидео, в этом смысле, аналогично гипертексту, который позволяет читателю нажав на слово в документе получить информацию из другого документа, или из другого места в этом же документе. Это то, что делает из гипервидео нелинейную информационную структуру, и даёт пользователям возможность выбора основанную на содержании видео и интересах пользователя. Принципиальная разница между гипервидео и гипертексом — изменение во времени.Текст, как правило, статичен, а видео обязательно динамично, содержаниевидео меняется со временем. Следовательно, гипервидео имеет различные особые технические,эстетические требования, и требованик к способу изложению по сравнению со статичной страницей гипертекста. Например, в гипервидео может быть создана ссылка связанная с объектом в видео,который присутствует в кадре не на всём протяжении видео, а только в определённый момент времени.Поэтому, чтобы ссылкой привязать этот момент видео или объект присутствующий в этот момент в кадре к другой информации нужно добавить определённые метаданные.
