- Gibica také Gebicca, Gifica, Gibica, Gebicar, Gibicho nebo Gippich (4. století? - 5. století?) byl prvním králem Burgundů na přelomu 4. a 5. století. Vládl až do své smrti kolem roku 407. Byl otcem , Giselhera a Gundahara. Písemné zmínky o jeho existenci se zachovaly v anglosaské básni Widsidh, která byla napsána skaldy ve staré angličtině. Její vznik se datuje do 6. či 7. století. Zmínky se nacházejí i v básni . Byl jedním z prvních králů Nibelungů, jeho klan se nazýval Gjúkungar. V Prozaické Eddě od Snorri Sturlusona je zmínka o tom, že Gibica byl otcem Gunnara (Gundahar), a dcery Gudrun. Další zmíka je o tom, že Gotthorm (vrah Sigurda) byl jeho nevlastní syn z předchozího manželství s . V Prozaické Eddě se zmiňuje také Gudny, která byla jeho druhou dcerou, kterou měl s Grimhildou. - Gibica ist der erste namentlich genannte, historisch jedoch nicht sicher belegte König der Burgunden. Er wird hypothetisch auf das Ende des 4. Jahrhunderts datiert. Die nachgewiesenen Burgundenkönige des 5. Jahrhunderts gelten als seine Nachkommen. Sein Name wird in den Lex Burgundionum genannt, aber auch im Atlilied und (als Gjúki) in der Völsunga-Saga. Der im Waltharius auftretende Gibbich, König der Franci Nebulones, wird mit ihm gleichgesetzt, woraus die Verbindung zur Nibelungensage geknüpft wird. In der Nibelungensage wiederum, wo er Dankrat/Dankrad/Tankred genannt wird, gelten Gunnar/Gundahar/Gunther, Guttorm/Godomar/Gundomer und Giselher (Gislahar) als seine Söhne bzw. Nachkommen, die er gemeinsam mit seiner Gemahlin Ute hatte. Soweit skandinavische Sagen hinzugezogen werden, soll auch Högni (Hagen von Tronje) sein Sohn sein. (de)
