- La Pordego de Atena Arĥegetis situis ĉe la okcidenta flanko de la Romia Agoro, en Ateno kaj estis konsiderata la dua plej elstara restaĵo en la loko post la Turo de la Ventoj. Konstruita en 11 a.K. pere de donacoj el Julio Cezaro kaj Aŭgusto, la pordego estis farita de kvar dorikaj kolonoj kaj bazo de Pentelika marmoro. Ĝi estis monumento dediĉita de Atenanoj al sia patronino Atena Arĥegetis. (eo)
- The Gate of Athena Archegetis is situated west side of the Roman Agora, in Athens and considered to be the second most prominent remain in the site after the Tower of the Winds. Constructed in 11 BCE by donations from Julius Caesar and Augustus, the gate was made of an architrave standing on four Doric columns and a base, all of Pentelic marble. - De Poort van Athena Archegetis is een antieke poortgebouw in Athene. De poort staat op de Romeinse Agora en was de vormde de westelijke toegang tot het marktplein. Hij werd in 11 v.Chr. gebouwd en bekostigd met donaties van Julius Caesar en Augustus. De poort heeft vier Dorische zuilen en een basis van Pentelisch marmer is bewaard gebleven. Volgens een inscriptie op de bovenbouw was de poort door het Atheense volk gewijd aan zijn beschermgodin Athena Archegetis tijdens het archontaat van Nicias (11-10 v.Chr.). Tussen de hoofdpoort en de klassieke Agora werd rond 100 n.Chr. een korte overdekte wandelweg aangelegd, die tussen de Stoa van Attalus en de latere Bibliotheek van Pantainos liep. (nl)
