- Třída Forward byla třída lehkých křižníků Royal Navy. Celkem byly postaveny dvě jednotky této třídy. Ve službě byly v letech 1905–1921. Účastnily se první světové války. Jednalo se o menší křižníky označované jako Scouts. Měly sloužit jako vůdčí lodi torpédoborců, jejichž novým typům však již nestačily rychlostí. (cs)
- The Forward-class cruisers were a pair of scout cruisers built for the Royal Navy in the first decade of the 20th century. The sister ships spent much of the first decade of their careers in reserve. When the First World War began in August 1914 they were given coastal defence missions, Foresight in the English Channel and Forward on the coast of Yorkshire. The latter ship was in Hartlepool when the German bombarded it in December, but never fired a shot. The ships were transferred to the Mediterranean in 1915 and then to the Aegean in mid-1916 where they remained until 1918. They survived the war, but were scrapped shortly afterwards. (en)

Quando scoppiò la prima guerra mondiale, nell'agosto 1914, ricevettero compiti di difesa costiera; la nella Manica e la lungo la costa dello Yorkshire. Quest'ultima era a Hartlepool quando la città fu bombardata dai tedeschi nel dicembre 1914, ma non sparò alcun colpo nello scontro. Nel 1915 le navi furono trasferite nel Mediterraneo e poi nell'Egeo alla metà del 1916, dove rimasero fino al 1918. Sopravvissero alla guerra ma furono demolite poco dopo. (it)
