- Flying Saucer Attack va ser un grup de rock alternatiu experimental format a Bristol, Anglaterra, el 1992. en fou el membre principal, i (de Movietone, un altre grup de Bristol) en formà part durant bona part de la seva trajectòria. El so del grup es va caracteritzar per les veus tranquil·les amb un fons de so carregat de feedback, amb semblances amb els anomenats grups de shoegazing contemporanis i els The Jesus and Mary Chain. Els FSA van crear un nombre petit però fidel de fans com un dels grups experimentals més interessants del seu moment. La major part dels seus enregistraments eren fets amb equips casolans, que donaven al seu so un estil personal i els permetien experimentar amb tota llibertat. - Flying Saucer Attack is an English space rock band formed in Bristol in 1992, led by songwriter David Pearce. Rachel Brook (now Rachel Coe) of Movietone was a member during the band's early incarnation; other musicians contributing to the group's recordings and live performances included Rocker (ex-the Flatmates), Matt Elliott (aka the Third Eye Foundation) and Sam Jones (of Crescent). Drawing on krautrock, folk and dream pop, the group referred to their DIY sound as "rural psychedelia" and were associated with bands of the contemporary post-rock and shoegaze scenes. The band was able to create a small but enthusiastic fanbase, and were notable for recording most of their output at home, avoiding recording studios. (en)
