The Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania is a diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America encompassing the counties of Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester and Delaware in the state of Pennsylvania. The Diocese has 36,641 members in 2020 in 134 congregations. In March 2016, Daniel G. P. Gutierrez was elected Bishop Diocesan; he was consecrated and assumed office on July 16, 2016. Upon becoming bishop in 2016, Gutiérrez implemented a strategy of experimentation and adaptation.

Die neue Kathedrale ist gleichzeitig der zeremonielle Sitz der der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Amerika (ELCA); die Episkopalkirche und die ELCA befinden sich in voller Kirchengemeinschaft. Der derzeitige Bischof ist der Right Reverend Charles E. Bennison, Jr., der Right Reverend Clarence Coleridge dient als Weihbischof. Seit dem 4. November 2007 ist es Bischof Bennison untersagt, als Bischof oder Priester zu fungieren, laut einer Anordnung der Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori, da er 1973 als Pfarrer einer Gemeinde in Kalifornien die notwendigen Schritte unterlassen hatte, als er erfuhr, sein Bruder führe eine außereheliche Beziehung mit einer Minderjährigen.
