Dervla Kirwan (* 24. Oktober 1971 in Dublin) ist eine irische Schauspielerin, die vor allem durch Fernsehrollen bekannt ist.
Kirwan wird 1971 als Tochter eines Versicherungsagenten und einer Lehrerin in Churchtown, einem Stadtteil im Süden Dublins, geboren.
1991 feiert Kirwan ihren Durchbruch als Bernadette Kennedy in der Serie "A Time to Dance". Weitere Rollen in verschiedenen Serien und Fernsehfilmen folgten. 1993 wurde sie für die Rolle der Phoebe Bamford in der Serie „Goodnight Sweetheart“ engagiert, ehe man ihr 1996 anbot, in der Serie "Ballykissangel" mitzuspielen. Hier spielte sie die Kneipenbesitzerin Assumpta Fitzgerald.
Außerdem spielte sie in „Italienische Verführung – School for Seduction“ mit. Aktuell spielt sie Claire Maxwell in „55 Degrees North“, einer britischen Krimiserie.
Bekannt ist auch Kirwans Duett mit Dustin the Turkey, einer sprechenden Puppe im Kinderprogramm von Radio Telefís Éireann. Sie sang mit ihm „Fairytale of New York“.
Ihre im September 2005 gestartete Werbekampagne für das britische Einzelhandelsunternehmen Marks & Spencer ist ein großer Erfolg und hat der Firma massive Umsatzsteigerungen beschert.
Während der Dreharbeiten zu Ballykissangel verlobte sich Kirwan mit Stephen Tompkinson, an dessen Seite sie in der Serie spielte. Jedoch wurde die Verlobung später wieder gelöst. Mittlerweile ist Kirwan mit dem Schauspieler Rupert Penry-Jones liiert. Die beiden haben zwei Kinder."

She got her big acting break in the 1991 production A Time To Dance in which she appeared nude. She also appeared in the play Water Music shown at London's Cockpit Theatre in 1992. Water Music was written by award-winning playwright Lyndon Morgans, currently singer-songwriter and frontman with the Welsh folk noir band Songdog.
Kirwan briefly appeared in EastEnders, and in the first three series of Goodnight Sweetheart alongside Nicholas Lyndhurst before leaving where her role as 'Phoebe Sparrow' was recast to Elizabeth Carling. She also sang with Dustin the Turkey on his cover of Fairytale of New York for his album Faith of Our Feathers.
Kirwan starred in School for Seduction, a 2004 film. She also starred in BBC 1 crime drama series 55 Degrees North which aired in 2004. She returned for a second series in 2005. It is unknown if a third series will be made. The series was shown in the U.S. under the title The Night Detective.
