- خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية، كانت البنادق العابرة للقناة الإنجليزية عبارة عن قطع مدفعية ساحلية بعيدة المدى وُضعت على سواحل بحر المانش في كينت بإنجلترا وبا دو كاليه بفرنسا، حيث تكون إنجلترا هي الأقرب إلى أوروبا القارية. كان هدفهم قصف سفن العدو في القناة الإنجليزية وكذلك المدن والمنشآت العسكرية. - The Dover Strait coastal guns were long-range coastal artillery batteries that were sited on both sides of the English Channel during the Second World War. The British built several gun positions along the coast of Kent, England while the Germans fortified the Pas-de-Calais in occupied France. The Strait of Dover was strategically important because it is the narrowest part of the English channel. Batteries on both sides attacked shipping as well as bombarding the coastal towns and military installations. The German fortifications would be incorporated into the Atlantic Wall which was built between 1942 and 1944. (en)

- Armas trans canal, foi a designação de um conjunto de armas de artilharia costeira de longo alcance posicionadas ao longo do canal da Mancha durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Essas armas, ficavam posicionadas principalmente, na costa de Kent, na Inglaterra, e na costa de Pas-de-Calais, na França, área em que a Inglaterra fica mais próxima do Continente Europeu.
