- Lichtsteuerung ist der Oberbegriff für Steuereinrichtungen für Lichtanlagen in der Veranstaltungsbeleuchtung. Diese unterscheiden sich stark je nach Anwendungsbereich.Generell kann man Lichtsteuerungen in vier Typen unterscheiden: 1.
* Generic-Pulte: Pulte, die rein zur Steuerung von konventionellem Licht konzipiert sind. 2.
* MovingLight-Pulte: Pulte, die rein zur Steuerung von intelligentem Licht konzipiert sind. 3.
* Hybrid-Pulte: Pulte, die in der Lage sind, ein gemischtes Setup von konventionellem und intelligentem Licht zu steuern 4.
* Interfaces: Die an PC oder Laptop meist über USB verbunden sind (früher ISA/PCI-Steckkarten) und dabei sowohl konventionelles als auch intelligentes Licht steuern können (abhängig von der verwendeten Software und Interface) (de)
- A lighting control console (also called a lightboard, lighting board, or lighting desk) is an electronic device used in theatrical lighting design to control multiple stage lights at once. They are used throughout the entertainment industry and are normally placed at the front of house (FOH) position or in a control booth. All lighting control consoles can control dimmers which control the intensity of the lights. Many modern consoles can control Intelligent lighting (lights that can move, change colors and gobo patterns), fog machines and hazers, and other special effects devices. Some consoles can also interface with other electronic performance hardware (i.e. sound boards, projectors, media servers, automated winches and motors, etc.) to improve synchronization or unify their control. Lighting consoles communicate with the dimmers and other devices in the lighting system via an electronic control protocol. The most common protocol used in the entertainment industry today is DMX512, although other protocols (e.g. 0-10 V analog lighting control) may still be found in use, and newer protocols such as ACN and DMX-512-A are evolving to meet the demands of ever increasing device sophistication. Some lighting consoles can communicate over a Local IP network infrastructure to provide control over more scalable systems. A common protocol for this is ESTA E1.31 sACN (pronounced: streaming A.C.N.) or Art-Net. (en)
- Een lichttafel (ook wel DMX-paneel, lichtstuurtafel of lichtconsole) is een elektronisch apparaat dat wordt gebruikt voor het beheren van belichting.Ze zijn in de gehele entertainment-industrie te vinden, van kleine podia/voorstellingen tot grote theaters en evenementen, film en tv. Alle lichttafels kunnen dimmers aansturen die op hun beurt weer de intensiteit van het licht beheren, modernere tafels kunnen ook "intelligente" armaturen en apparaten aansturen zoals bewegend licht (scanners, moving heads etc.), rook- en nevelmachines, mediaservers en andere speciale effecten. De communicatie van de tafel met de apparatuur geschiedt via een elektronisch protocol. De huidige industriestandaard is DMX-512, een digitaal protocol dat tot 512 kanalen met 8 bitswaarden per lijn aanstuurt. Andere protocollen zijn onder andere het oudere analoge 0-10 V, waarbij elke dimmer zijn aanstuurwaarde krijgt van een lijn met een spanning tussen de 0-10V (0V = 0%/uit 10V = 100%/helemaal aan). Nieuwere protocollen zijn DMX-512-A en ACN die proberen aan de eisen van de steeds geavanceerdere licht/effect-installaties te voldoen. (nl)

As funções da mesa de luz, geralmente funcionam em ativar ou desativar luzes ou conjuntos, fumaça, cores, movimento das lâmpadas e intensidade. Tudo isso em uma sincronização em tempo real ou predefinida. As mesas de iluminação comunicam-se com os dimmers e outros dispositivos no sistema de iluminação através de um protocolo de controle eletrônico. O protocolo mais comum utilizado atualmente na indústria do entretenimento é o DMX512, embora outros protocolos (por exemplo, controle de iluminação analógico 0-10 V) ainda possam ser encontrados em uso, e os protocolos mais recentes, como o ACN eo DMX-512-A, estão evoluindo para demandas de sofisticação de dispositivos.
