- Constitution Day (Danish: Grundlovsdag) is observed in Denmark on 5 June. The day honors the Constitution of Denmark, as both the first constitution of 1849 and the current constitution of 1953 were signed on this date of their respective years. Denmark is one of only a handful countries in the world not to have an official national day, but Constitution Day is sometimes considered the equivalent of such a day. It is also widely considered to be a day for celebrating Danish democracy. Though it has never been an official national holiday, Constitution Day was a half-day off work from 1891 until 1975. Since then, collective labor agreements have usually given workers a half-day or the whole day off on Constitution Day. Stores with an annual turnover of at most 34.9 million kroner can stay open on Constitution Day, but all other stores must keep closed. The day is widely celebrated throughout Denmark with church congregations, associations and political organizations meeting for what are essentially "secular services". These services include the raising of the Dannebrog (the Danish flag), a short speech by a local politician or celebrity, and collective singing (Danish: fællessang). (en)

Juni 1849 durch die Unterzeichnung von König Frederik VII. gedacht. Er ist ein normaler Arbeitstag. Zwischen 1891 und 1975 war der Grundlovsdag offiziell ein halber Feiertag. In manchen Tarifverträgen ist doch geregelt, dass der Arbeitnehmer einen halben oder einen ganzen Tag entlohnt frei hat. Bereits nach der Einführung 1849 wurden an den Jahrestagen größere Versammlungen und Feste abgehalten. Die Verfassung von 1849 begründete die konstitutionelle Monarchie und ersetzte das absolutistische Königsgesetz von 1665. Seit den 1870er-Jahren wurde der Grundlovsdag zunehmend für parteipolitische Versammlungen genutzt, was bis heute der Fall ist. Jede politische Partei hält am Grundlovsdag eine oder mehrere Veranstaltungen ab. (de)

La ricorrenza nazionale si celebra il 5 giugno e commemora l'anniversario della firma della Costituzione della Danimarca del 1849 da parte di re Federico VII di Danimarca, che ha segnato il passaggio da una monarchia assoluta a una monarchia costituzionale. In questo particolare giorno si svolgono, in genere, tradizionalmente riunioni e incontri politici, spesso rimarcando i valori della Costituzione stessa e il suo modello stesso di governo. Ieder jaar wordt de invoering van de eerste grondwet uit 1849 gevierd met vooral politieke toespraken in het hele land daar deze dag vaak gezien wordt als dé viering van de Deense democratie. Vooraanstaande politici hebben via hun respectieve organisaties favoriete locaties waar zij traditioneel hun politieke boodschap brengen over de democratische beginselen en actuele politieke kwesties.
