- عصب حبل الطبل أو عصب الحبل الطبلي (بالإنجليزية: Tympanic cord) هو فرع من العصب الوجهي، ينشأ من حليمات الذوق في الجزء الأمامي لللسان ويمر عبر الأذن الوسطى وينقل رسائل حس التذوق إلى الدماغ. يتصل عصب حبل الطبل بالعصب الوجهي في القناة الوجهية قرب مخرجه من الثقب الإبري الحلمي (الخشائي). (ar)
- Die Chorda tympani („Paukensaite“) ist ein Ast des siebten Hirnnervs, des Nervus facialis. Sie besitzt sensorische und parasympathische Fasern. Die Chorda tympani trennt sich im Fazialiskanal vom Nervus facialis und zieht durch das Mittelohr. Sie ist manchmal durch das Trommelfell bei der Untersuchung mit einem Otoskop als zarter Strang sichtbar, was zu ihrer Benennung führte. Sie verlässt die Felsenbeinpyramide durch die Fissura petrotympanica (Glasersche Spalte) oder auch durch die Fissura sphenopetrosa, durch die auch die Arteria tympanica anterior verläuft. Anschließend lagert sie sich dem Nervus lingualis – einem Ast des Nervus mandibularis des Nervus trigeminus – an und nutzt diesen als Leitungsstruktur. Über diese Fasern werden afferente und efferente Informationen geleitet:
* Die parasympathischen Fasern regen die Sekretion der unteren Speicheldrüsen (Unterkiefer- und Unterzungendrüse) sowie der Zungendrüsen an. Diese Fasern werden vor dem Eintritt in ihre Zielorgane im Ganglion submandibulare auf postganglionäre Fasern umgeschaltet.
* Die Chorda tympani leitet sensorische Geschmacksreize aus den vorderen zwei Dritteln der Zunge. Eine einseitige Schädigung der Chorda tympani führt zum Verlust des Geschmackssinnes der gleichen Seite der vorderen Zungenhälfte, eine beidseitige Schädigung zum Verlust des Geschmackssinnes der vorderen Zungenhälfte. Eine Ageusie ist nicht die Folge, da das hintere Drittel der Zunge sensorisch vom Nervus glossopharyngeus versorgt wird. (de)

It joins the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) inside the facial canal, at the level where the facial nerve exits the skull via the stylomastoid foramen, but exits through the petrotympanic fissure and descends in the infratemporal fossa. - La cuerda del tímpano, también conocida como raíz parasimpática del ganglio submandibular (chorda tympani, radix parasympathica submandibularis) es un haz de fibras parasimpáticas (para el ganglio submaxilar) y simpáticas, procedentes de las papilas gustativas de los dos tercios anteriores de la lengua. Se extiende de forma recurrente hacia la cavidad timpánica, pasa entre el martillo y el yunque y emerge de la cavidad timpánica por la abertura del conductillo de la cuerda del tímpano, excavada enel espesor de la fisura petrotimpánica, para terminar en el nervio lingual. Es una rama del nervio facial (par craneal VII) que conecta las papilas gustativas de esa parte de la lengua y lleva sus mensajes al cerebro. Recoge la sensibilidad gustativa de los 2/3 anteriores de la lengua. Es parte de uno de los tres nervios craneales que intervienen en el sabor.
