Cathal Casey (born 4 September 1967) is an Irish former hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Ballynoe, County Cork, Casey first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He joined the senior panel during the 1986 championship. Casey subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medal, two Munster medal and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion.

His retirement came following the conclusion of the 1995 championship. In retirement from playing Casey became involved in team management and coaching. He has served as a selector with the Cork and Warwickshire senior teams while he has also been involved with University College Cork. (en)
