- The Canon of Curaçao is a list of fifty themes (called "windows") that chronologically summarizes the history of Curaçao. In the windows 50 subjects are described in approximately 400 words each. Complementing the Canon of the Netherlands and its regional canons, the Canon of Curaçao was compiled on the initiative of the General Faculty of the University of Curaçao (UoC), for the purpose of history education. In 2020, the canon was released by a committee appointed by the University of Curaçao, the (Dutch: Nationaal Archief Curaçao, NAC), and the Foundation for School Materials (Papiamento: Fundashon Material pa Skol, FMS). The committee members are:
* Dr. R. M. Allen, anthropologist, part-time lecturer at UoC
* Drs. E. Baetens, former geography teacher and FMS employee
* Drs. W. Kamps, former staff member of the General Faculty of UoC
* Drs. M. Scriwanek, director of the NAC
* Drs. R. Sille, former history teacher and rector of the Kolegio Alejandro Paula (KAP)
* Drs. H. Vlinkervleugel, chairman of the Curaçao association of history teachers
* Drs. I. Witteveen, former director of the (NAAM) and former FMS employee (en)
- De Canon van Curaçao is een lijst van vijftig thema's ("vensters" genoemd) die chronologisch een samenvatting geeft van de geschiedenis van Curaçao. In de vensters worden 50 onderwerpen in het kort (ca. 400 woorden) geëtaleerd. De Canon werd in navolging van de Canon van Nederland samengesteld op initiatief van de Algemene Faculteit van de Universiteit van Curaçao (UoC), ten behoeve van het geschiedenisonderwijs. In 2020 werd de canon opgeleverd door een commissie aangewezen door de Universiteit van Curaçao, Nationaal Archief Curaçao en Fundashon Material pa Skol (Nederlands: Stichting Schoolmaterialen, afgekort FMS). De commissieleden zijn:
* Rose Mary Allen, antropoloog, part-time docent UoC
* E. Baetens, voormalig docent aardrijkskunde en medewerker FMS
* W. Kamps, voormalig stafmedewerker van de Algemene Faculteit UoC
* Max Scriwanek, directeur van het Nationaal Archief Curaçao
* R. Sille, voormalig docent geschiedenis en rector van het Kolegio Alejandro Paula (KAP)
* H. Vlinkervleugel, voorzitter van de vereniging van geschiedenisdocenten op Curaçao
