- Bryn Cader Faner is a Bronze Age round cairn which lies to the east of the small hamlet of Talsarnau in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd in Wales. The diameter is 8.7 metres (29 ft) and there are 18 thin jagged pillars which jut upwards from the low cairn. It is thought to date back to the late third millennium BC.The site was disturbed by 19th-century treasure-seekers, who left a hole in the centre indicating the position of a cist or a grave. Originally there may have been about 30 pillars, each some 2 metres (7 ft) long. However, before the Second World War, the British army used the site for gunnery practice and damaged many of the stones on the east side. Bryn Cader Faner is thought to mean 'the hill with the chair with the flag' or 'the hill of the throne with the flag'. (en)

Er liegt auf dem etwa 600 Meter hohen Hügel „Moel Ysgyfarnogod“ in Gwynedd in der Grafschaft Merionethshire (walisisch Meirionnydd), in der Umgebung der Orte Ffestiniog und Porthmadog im Norden von Wales. Bryn cader Faner ist ein runder, etwa 8,7 m weiter und kaum meterhoher Steinhügel, der eng von 18 (ursprünglich etwa 30) schräg nach außen gestellten, etwa zwei Meter langen spitzen Stelen aus Schiefer umgeben ist. An den Seiten fehlen die Hälfte der Steine des Kreises. In der Mitte des Hügels liegt ein im 19. Jahrhundert angelegter Raubschacht. In der Nähe befinden sich mehrere einfache Steinhügel und Siedlungsreste. Carn Llechart in Glamorgan im südlichen Wales besitzt gewisse Ähnlichkeiten mit Bryn Cader Faner. Er besteht jedoch nicht aus spitzen, sondern breiten Steinplatten. (de)
