- بشرى سالم، هي دكتورة جامعية ورئيسة قسم العلوم البيئية بجامعة الإسكندرية الواقعة في محافظة الإسكندرية. وهي رئيسة مجلس التنسيق الدولي لبرنامج اليونيسكو الإنسان والمحيط الحيوي. وقامت كذلك بالعمل في المجلس الدولي للعلوم للتخطيط العلمي و المراجعة. حصلت على عدة جزائز وتم اختيارها كواحدة من فضليات النساء اللائي برزن في مجال العلوم من السفارة الأمريكية بالقاهرة. - Boshra Salem is a professor, founder and the Chair of the Department of Environmental Sciences at Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt. She is president of Unesco's Man and the Biosphere (MAB) International Coordinating Council (ICC) and serves on the International Council for Science (ICSU)'s Committee for Scientific Planning & Review. She has received a number of awards, including being recognized as an outstanding female scientist in the Women in Science Hall of Fame by the Embassy of the United States in Cairo, Egypt. (en)

Es presidenta del Consejo Internacional de Coordinación (CCI) del Programa sobre el Hombre y la Biosfera (MAB) de la Unesco y es miembro del Comité de Planificación y Revisión Científica del Consejo Internacional para la Ciencia (ICSU). Ha recibido varios reconocimientos, entre ellos ser seleccionada como científica destacada en el Salón de la Fama de Mujeres en la Ciencia por la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en El Cairo, Egipto.
