- Belle Isle Castle ist ein Schloss auf Belle Island beim Dorf Lisbellaw im nordirischen County Fermanagh. Das Anwesen erstreckt sich über 190 Hektar. Belle Isle Castle entstand Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts als einzelnes Haus, wurde aber seither erweitert und vollständig restauriert. Es dient heute als Touristenattraktion, Hotel und wird für Hochzeiten genutzt. Dort findet sich auch eine Kochschule. Seit Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts gehörte das Anwesen verschiedenen Adligen – darunter –, die es auch bewohnten und erweiterten. Das Anwesen war stets öffentlich zugänglich, seit 1760 dort die ersten Veranstaltungen stattfanden. 1991 wurde das Schloss vollständig restauriert, damit es noch mehr Besucher besichtigen können. Im Schloss findet sich eine Galerie, ein Aussichtsturm, ein Schlosshof und eine Banketthalle. In der Remise und in verschiedenen Bauernhöfen auf dem Anwesen wurden Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten geschaffen, die den Gästen alle einzigartige Räume in unterschiedlichen Stilen bieten. Auf dem Anwesen finden sich englische und irische Innenausstattungen, ein offener Kamin, Arbeiten von russischen, irischen und englischen Malern und ein Panoramafenster zum Garten, das vom Boden bis zur Decke reicht und bereits im 18. It also contains an on site cookery school. Dating back to the early 17th century, the estate has been inhabited, owned and expanded by generations of nobles including The 1st Earl of Ross. The estate has welcomed the public since 1760 when it began hosting events. In 1991, the castle was fully refurbished to open its doors to more visitors. The castle contains a gallery, an overlook tower, a courtyard, and a grand banquet hall. It also offers different residences throughout its coach houses and cottages, all of which include unique, different style bedrooms for its guests. The estate encompasses English and Irish furnishings, a grand open fireplace, works by Russian, Irish and English painters, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the garden, which has been manifesting since the 18th century.
