- Belaire Apartments (auch bekannt als Belaire Condominiums und The Belaire) ist ein 156 Meter hohes Appartementhochhaus in Manhattan. Das 42-stöckige New Yorker Gebäude befindet sich in der 524 East 72nd Street zwischen der und dem East River an der Upper East Side im Osten der Insel Manhattan auf Höhe der Roosevelt Island. Es enthält 183 Eigentumswohnungen, ein Fitnessstudio, eine Parkgarage und einen Pool; die unteren 21 Stockwerke werden als Krankenhaus benutzt. Das Gebäude wurde 1988 durch die Zeckendorf Company errichtet und ersetzte eine frühere Parkgarage des Krankenhauses Hospital for Special Surgery. Es wurde von Frank Williams and Associates mit einer roten Ziegelsteinfassade entworfen. Dem Krankenhaus Hospital for Special Surgery gehört weiterhin das Grundstück; im Austausch für die Überlassung der Baurechte an Zeckendorf, erhielt es die unteren zwölf Stockwerke. Ursprünglich wurden Krankenschwestern und Techniker dort untergebracht, um diesen eine erschwingliche Wohnung in New York zu bieten. (de)
