This included Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service technologies like Salesforce.com, and Google Apps. Appirio ran as a serverless company, utilizing only public cloud solutions and no in-house datacenter. On 20 October 2016, Appirio announced that they would be acquired by Wipro, an Indian information technology services corporation based in Bangalore, India, for $500 million. On 31 March 2021, the Appirio brand was retired by Wipro and merged into its Salesforce practice. (en)
