Avui és el patró de les ciutats de Pàmies, Palència i Medina del Campo, entre d'altres. La seva festivitat és el 2 de setembre. La seva història es confon amb detalls de la de sant , a Síria, la qual cosa fa pensar que no sigui del tot real o, fins i tot, que el sant de Pàmies no hagués existit i es tractés d'un personatge creat a partir del sant siríac, per tal d'enfortir la fe dels habitants de la zona. - Saint Antoninus of Pamiers (French: Saint Antonin, Occitan: Sant Antoní, and Spanish: San Antolín) was an early Christian missionary and martyr, called the "Apostle of the Rouergue". His life is dated to the first, second, fourth, and fifth century by various sources since he is often confused with various other venerated Antonini. Today he is revered as the patron saint of Pamiers, Palencia, and Medina del Campo. His historicity and exact identity are in doubt. Reportedly born at Fredelacum (Pamiers), he converted to Christianity and made a pilgrimage to Rome, where he was ordained. He returned to preach the Gospel in Aquitaine, especially in the border regions of the Rouergue. He is credited with performing many miracles. He was martyred at Vallis Nobilis, now Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val on 2 September, his feast day. His relics ended up at Pamiers and Palencia. (en)
- Antolín de Pamiers fue un mártir visigodo de la Galia que vivió en los siglos V y VI, venerado como santo por las Iglesias católica y ortodoxa. Al menos parte de su hagiografía es legendaria, y son pocos los datos precisos que de este santo se poseen. Fue ejecutado, según la leyenda, por no abrazar el arrianismo junto a dos discípulos, Juan y Almaquio, que reciben culto junto a él. Algunas de sus reliquias se conservan en Palencia (España), ciudad de la que es patrón, y cuya catedral le está consagrada. Fueron llevadas allí por el rey visigodo Wamba desde Narbona, según la tradición legendaria. Es también patrón de su ciudad natal, Pamiers, cuya catedral está consagrada a su nombre. También es patrón de la ciudad española de Medina del Campo y del gremio de los cazadores. La iconografía habitual del santo le representa como un hombre joven, ataviado con la dalmática propia de los diáconos, portando casi siempre una palma alusiva al martirio, y, como atributo más característico, un cuchillo u hoja afilada clavado en su hombro o en la parte inferior del cuello.
