The 70 hectare (175 acre) park provides accommodations for science, business and housing. Resident groups include institutes of the natural science faculties of the University of Amsterdam, several research institutes, and related companies. Three of the colocations of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange are at the institutes SURFsara, NIKHEF, and Equinix-AM3 at the science park. In 2009, the Amsterdam Science Park railway station was by opened then-mayor Job Cohen. (en)

- Amsterdam Science Park (Engels voor "Amsterdams Park voor Exacte wetenschappen ") ligt in het oostelijk deel van de gemeente Amsterdam (Watergraafsmeer), in de Nederlandse provincie Noord-Holland. Het is een gebied van 70 hectare met als belangrijkste functie het huisvesten van voorzieningen voor natuurwetenschappelijk onderzoek, exacte wetenschap, ICT en biologie. Het gebied wordt ontwikkeld tot internationaal kenniscomplex, waar samenwerking tussen wetenschappelijk onderwijs, onderzoek en kennisintensieve bedrijvigheid gestimuleerd wordt. Op Amsterdam Science Park bevinden zich woningen, ruim 90 bedrijven gespecialiseerd in ICT en biologie, de bètafaculteit van de Universiteit van Amsterdam en wetenschappelijke instituten. Daarnaast zijn er meerdere horecagelegenheden. Sinds 2010 is ook sportcentrum Universum in het gebied gevestigd. Het gebied is bereikbaar via station Amsterdam Science Park. Buslijn 40 rijdt via Amsterdam Science Park in de richtingen van het Amstelstation en het Muiderpoortstation. Daarnaast wordt het gebied ontsloten door de Kruislaan en de in oktober 2005 geopende Carolina MacGillavrylaan. Het deel van de Kruislaan na de MacGillavrylaan kreeg op 1 januari 2009 de nieuwe straatnaam "Science Park". (nl)
