- كمين باليسترو أو كمين الأخضرية هو اشتباك عسكري وقع في 18 مايو 1956، خلال ثورة التحرير الجزائرية، بالقرب من قرية جراح في الأخضرية بولاية البويرة، نصب خلالها قسم من حوالي أربعين مجاهدا من جيش التحرير الوطني، بقيادة الملازم علي خوجة، كميناً لدورية عسكرية من واحد وعشرين رجلاً من فوج المشاة الاستعماري التاسع في الجيش الفرنسي، وأودى بحياة 20 جنديا فرنسيا. في 19 يونيو 1956، بعد شهر من الكمين، تم تنفيذ أول إعدامين في حق مجاهدين، وهما أحمد زبانة وعبد القادر فراج. واعتُبرت عمليات الإعدام هذه «رداً» على الكمين. - The Ambush of Palestro, or Ambush of Djerrah, took place on the 18th May 1956, during the Algerian war, near the village of Djerrah in the region of Palestro (now Lakhdaria) in Kabylie. A section of about forty men from the National Liberation Army (ALN) under the command of Lieutenant Ali Khodja ambushed a unit of 21 men from the 9th Colonial Infantry Regiment of the French Army commanded by Second Lieutenant Hervé Artur. The ambush led to the complete destruction of the small unit of French marines, with a total of 20 French soldiers killed, including their commander, Hervé Artur. One French soldier was taken prisoner and later released. Algerian losses are unknown, but thought to number around one killed and a few wounded. (en)
- L'embuscade de Palestro, ou embuscade de Djerrah, est un engagement militaire qui a lieu le 18 mai 1956, durant la guerre d’Algérie, à proximité du village de Djerrah dans la région de Palestro (aujourd'hui Lakhdaria) en Kabylie au cours duquel une section d'une quarantaine d'hommes de l’Armée de libération nationale (ALN), commandée par le lieutenant Ali Khodja, tend une embuscade à une section de vingt-et-un hommes du 9e régiment d'infanterie coloniale de l'Armée française, commandée par le sous-lieutenant Hervé Artur. L'affrontement se solde par l'anéantissement de presque toute l'unité française, un seul soldat ayant la vie sauve ; les pertes de l'unité algérienne, inconnues, sont estimées à un mort et éventuellement un blessé, peut-être quelques morts. Le sort subi par les appelés du contingent français déclenche une intense émotion en France. Les cadavres sont nus, émasculés et mutilés. (fr)
