- Aleksandr Kogan (qui a en 2016 fait changer son nom de famille en « Spectre », se faisant parfois appeler Dr Spectre tout en continuant à publier sous le nom de Kogan), est un enseignant-chercheur américain d'origine moldave né le 6 avril 1986. Il est à la fois data scientist et chercheur en sciences humaines et sociales (psychologie du comportement, psychométrie) au Département de psychologie expérimentale de l'université de Cambridge. Il a créé en 2014-2015 à Cambridge et à Manchester trois Start-ups (toutes mises en cessation d'activité). C'est un personnage controversé, parce qu'il a créé et présidé en 2014 la Start-up « Global Science Research LTD » qui, pour le compte de Cambridge Analytica, a été à l'origine d'un vol massif de données sur des millions de comptes Facebook, dans le cadre du scandale Facebook-Cambridge Analytica/AggregateIQ, un scandale politico-financier notamment révélé par les lanceurs d'alerte Christopher Wylie et Shahmir Sanni. Kogan a aussi été soupçonné de collusion avec la Russie (sans confirmation à ce jour). (fr)
