- عبد العزيز الشبيلي (بالإنجليزية: Abdulaziz al-Shubaily) (-) محامي، وناشط حقوقي سعودي في حقوق الإنسان. في عام 2010، انضم الشبيلي إلى جمعية الحقوق المدنية والسياسية في السعودية، التي دعت إلى إطلاق سراح السجناء السياسيين واحترام أكبر لحقوق الإنسان في المملكة العربية السعودية. عمل الشبيلي محاميًا لعائلات الرجال المحتجزين بشكل تعسفي وبدون تهمة من قبل السلطات السعودية لعدة أشهر وسنوات بعد اعتقالهم، ووقّع على بيانات عامة تدعو إلى إطلاق سراح المعتقلين التعسفيين، وإنشاء نظام ملكي دستوري، والحق في التجمع السلمي، والانتخاب الشعبي لأعضاء مجلس الشورى السعودي. في 29 مايو، أدانته المحكمة الجزائية المتخصصة، وحكمت عليه بالسجن لمدة ثماني سنوات ومنع لمدة ثماني سنوات على السفر إلى الخارج بسبب أنشطته السلمية. لا يزال بكفالة في انتظار الاستئناف. في 10 يناير 2017، أصدرت المحكمة الجزائية المتخصصة حكمًا على الشبيلي بالسجن لمدة ثماني سنوات، وحظر سفر لمدة ثماني سنوات، وحظر لمدة ثماني سنوات من استخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي بعد إطلاق سراحه. وشملت التهم الموجهة إليه «التحريض على النظام العام»، و «إهانة القضاء»، و«وصف الدولة السعودية الحاكمة - ظالمة وخاطئة - كدولة بوليسية»، و «المشاركة في جمعية غير مرخصة». اعتبارًا من فبراير 2017، بقي خارج السجن بكفالة، في انتظار الاستئناف. في 16 أغسطس 2017، أيدت محكمة الاستئناف الجزائية المتخصصة بالإرهاب المنعقدة في الرياض الحكم الأول الصادر ضده. في سبتمبر 2017، قُبض على الشبيلي مرة أخرى، مع عيسى الحامد، أحد مؤسسي جمعية الحقوق المدنية والسياسية في السعودية. - Abdulaziz al-Shubaily is a prominent Saudi human rights advocate. In 2010, al-Shubaily joined the Saudi Civil and Political Rights Association (ACPRA), which has advocated for release of political prisoners and greater respect for human rights in Saudi Arabia. al-Shubaily has served as a lawyer for families of men held arbitrarily and without charge by Saudi authorities for months and years after their arrests, and has signed public statements calling for the release of arbitrary detainees, establishment of a constitutional monarchy, the right to peaceful assembly, and the popular election of members of the Saudi Shura Council. On May 29, the Specialized Criminal Court convicted him and sentenced him to eight years in prison and an eight-year ban on travel abroad for his peaceful activities. He remains out on bail pending appeal. On January 10, 2017, the Specialized Criminal Court re-sentenced al-Shubaily to eight years in prison, an eight-year travel ban, and an eight-year ban on using social media after his release. The charges against him included "incitement against public order," "insulting the judiciary," "describing the ruling Saudi state – unjustly and wrongly – as a police state," and "participating in an unlicensed association." As of February 2017, he remained out of prison on bail, pending appeal. In September 2017, al-Shubaily was arrested again, along with , another ACPRA co-founder. (en)
