- The 2012–13 Scottish Football League Third Division (known as the Irn Bru Scottish Football League Third Division for sponsorship reasons) was the 18th season in the current format of 10 teams in the fourth tier of Scottish football. Alloa Athletic were the current champions. Rangers were confirmed as champions after a goalless away draw with Montrose on 30 March.They were presented with the trophy after a 1–0 win against Berwick Rangers on 4 May in front of 50,048. During their first season in the division, Rangers had one of the highest home attendances in Britain, consistently ranking in the top four in the UK as a whole and first in Scotland. They set the record for the highest attendance in a 4th tier league worldwide. Bottom side Stirling Albion defeated Rangers on 6 October 2012 in what was reported to be a shock result. (en)
- Die Scottish Football League Third Division wurde 2012/13 zum insgesamt 19. und letzten Mal unter diesem Namen ausgetragen. Es war zudem die letzte Austragung der Third Division als nur noch vierthöchste schottische Liga. Zur neuen Saison erhielt die Liga den Namen Scottish League Two und war weiterhin vierthöchste Spielklasse. In der vierthöchsten Fußball-Spielklasse der Herren in Schottland traten in der Saison 2012/13 10 Vereine in insgesamt 36 Spieltagen gegeneinander an. Jedes Team spielte jeweils viermal gegen jedes andere. Bei Punktgleichheit zählte die Tordifferenz, vor dem direkten Vergleich. Die Meisterschaft gewannen die Glasgow Rangers, die sich damit den Aufstieg und die Teilnahme an der League One-Saison 2013/14 sicherten. Die Glasgow Rangers waren zu Saisonbeginn aus der Scottish Premier League in die Third Division neu eingegliedert worden, da sie aus der Scottish Premier League ausgeschlossen und daraufhin in der Scottish Football League aufgenommen wurden. Deren Statuten entsprechend begannen sie wie jedes neu aufgenommene Mitglied in der Scottish League Two. An den Aufstieg-Play-offs nahmen der FC Peterhead, der FC Queen’s Park und die Berwick Rangers teil. Torschützenkönig mit 22 Treffern wurde Andrew Little von den Glasgow Rangers. (de)
- Le Championnat d'Écosse de football de D4 2012-2013 (ou Ibrn-Bru Scottish Football League Third Division pour des raisons de sponsoring), est la 18e édition du Championnat d'Écosse de football D4 dans sa version actuelle. Cette épreuve regroupe 10 équipes qui s'affrontent quatre fois, sur un total de 36 journées. Le champion est promu en Scottish Second Division. Il n'y a pas de relégation de cette division, comme c'est le niveau le plus bas dans le championnat écossais. La fédération écossaise de football a pris la décision de reléguer les Glasgow Rangers au plus bas niveau des compétitions de niveau national soit la Scottish Football League Third Division. Les Glasgow Rangers sont champions depuis le 30 mars 2013 avec 21 points d'avance après le match nul 0-0 à Montrose. (fr)
