- 2010 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship (qualifying round) was the first round of qualifications for the Final Tournament of UEFA U-17 Championship 2010. Of the 52 countries contesting in the qualifying round, 28 would advance to the elite round. The qualifying round was played between 5 September and 31 October 2009. The 52 teams were divided into 13 groups of four teams, with each group being contested as a mini-tournament, hosted by one of the group's teams. After all matches were played, the 13 group winners and 13 group runners-up automatically advanced to the Elite round. If two or more teams were tied in points, a tie-breaking procedure applied according to the following criteria: 1.
* Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question; 2.
* Superior goal difference resulting from the group matches played among the teams in question; 3.
* Higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question; 4.
* If, after having applied criteria 1. to 3., two teams still had an equal ranking, criteria 1. to 3. was reapplied to determine the ranking of the two teams. If this procedure did not lead to a decision, criteria 5. and 6. applied. 5.
* Results of all group matches: 6. 1.
* Superior goal difference. 7. 2.
* Higher number of goals scored. 8.
* Drawing of lots. Alongside the 26 winner and runner-up teams, the two best third-placed teams also qualified. These were determined after considering only their results against their group's top two teams, and applying the following criteria in this order: 1.
* Higher number of points obtained in these matches; 2.
* Superior goal difference from these matches; 3.
* Higher number of goals scored in these matches; 4.
* Fair-play conduct of the teams in all group matches in the qualifying round; 5.

- La Primera Ronda Eliminatoria a la Eurocopa Sub-17 2010 para el Torneo Final del Campeonato de la UEFA Sub-17 de 2010 contó con la participación de 52 países que compiten en la ronda de clasificación, 28 avanzarían a la ronda de élite. La ronda de clasificación se jugó entre el 5 de septiembre y el 31 de octubre de 2009. Los 52 equipos se dividieron en 13 grupos de cuatro equipos, y cada grupo se disputó como un minitorneo, organizado por uno de los equipos del grupo. Después de que se jugaron todos los partidos, los 13 ganadores de grupo y los 13 subcampeones de grupo avanzaron automáticamente a la Ronda Elite. Dit toernooi zou bepalen welke 15 landen zich kwalificeerden voor het Europees kampioenschap voetbal mannen onder 17 van 2010. Het toernooi werd verdeeld over twee rondes. De eerste ronde werd de kwalificatieronde genoemd. De tweede ronde heet de eliteronde. Liechtenstein hoefde niet mee te doen aan de kwalificatie, dit land was als gastland automatisch gekwalificeerd. Het trok zich echter terug voor de start van het toernooi. (nl)
- Eliminacje do EURO 2010 rozpoczęły się 26 października 2009 i trwały do 1 kwietnia 2010. Udział w eliminacjach wzięły 52 reprezentacje narodowe, z których wyłoniono 8 finalistów. wycofał się z turnieju, dzięki czemu zwolniło się 1 miejsce. (pl)
- Квалификационный раунд юношеского чемпионата Европы по футболу 2010 стал первым раундом отборочного турнира к финальной стадии чемпионата Европы по футболу среди юношей до 17 лет 2010. 52 команды были поделены на 13 групп по 4 в каждой, одна из команд в каждой группе принимала у себя все матчи группы. Команды, занявшие 1 и 2 места в каждой группе и две команды, набравшие наибольшее количество очков среди занявших 3 места, прошли в элитный раунд. Матчи прошли осенью 2009 года. (ru)
