- The 2008 World Championship of Ski Mountaineering was the fourth World Championship of Ski Mountaineering sanctioned by the International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC), held in Portes du Soleil, Switzerland, from February 23 to February 29, 2008. About 450 athletes of 29 nations participated. Compared to the former world masterships a long distance race was added. (en)
- Die IV. Weltmeisterschaft im Skibergsteigen 2008 wurde vom 23. bis 29. Februar 2008 in Portes du Soleil, Schweiz, ausgetragen. Organisator war der International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC) der Union Internationale des Associations d’Alpinisme (UIAA). Erstmals wurde bei der IV. Durchführung auch die sogenannte Langdistanz als Disziplin hinzugenommen. Teilgenommen haben rund 450 Skibergsteiger der Nationalkader aus insgesamt 29 Nationen. (de)
