- El Referèndum sobre les lleis de seguretat de Letònia de 2007 va tenir lloc a Letònia el 7 de juliol de 2007. El referèndum va ser convocat després que el Presidenta de Letònia Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga es va negar a signar les lleis, al·legant una possible influència dels oligarques a la seguretat nacional de Letònia, després es van recollir 212.000 signatures, per a complir amb el requisit a la ratlla de 150.000 signatures necessàries. Encara que el referèndum no va aconseguir arribar al quòrum necessari de 453.730 vots, els resultats van mostrar la desaprovació massiva a les esmenes i per tant el seu vot a favor de la derogació. - I referendum in Lettonia del 2007 si svolsero il 7 luglio 2007 per abrogare due disegni di legge in materia di sicurezza nazionale. La consultazione era stata indetta dopo che il presidente della repubblica si era rifiutato di firmare le leggi, rivendicando la possibile influenza degli oligarchi sulla sicurezza nazionale lettone, e dopo che erano state raccolte 212.000 firme, soddisfacendo il requisito di circa 150.000 firme (un decimo dell'elettorato). Sebbene il referendum non sia riuscito a raggiungere il quorum di 453.730 voti, i risultati hanno mostrato una massiccia disapprovazione degli emendamenti. (it)
- Референдум о поправках к законам о государственной безопасности, принятых Сеймом 1 марта 2007 года и приостановленных президентом, прошёл 7 июля 2007 года. По вопросу о поправках к Закону о национальной безопасности приняли участие 338 348 граждан, по вопросу о поправках к Закону об учреждениях государственной безопасности — 338 342. Большинство проголосовавших поддержали отмену поправок. Кворум составлял 453 730 избирателей (половина участников последних парламентских выборов), поэтому референдум не был признан состоявшимся. Однако поправки так и не вступили в силу, поскольку Сейм отменил их уже 29 марта. (ru)
