- Das Winmau World Masters ist ein von der World Darts Federation (WDF) veranstaltetes Dartturnier. Es fand zum ersten Mal im Jahre 1974 statt und ist somit das älteste noch ausgetragene Major-Turnier.Bis 2019 wurde das Turnier zusammen mit der British Darts Organisation ausgetragen. Nachdem die BDO jedoch 2020 insolvent gegangen ist verkündete die WDF am 18. Dezember 2020, dass sie das Turnier ab 2022 in Kooperation mit dem Nederlandse Darts Bond übernehmen werden. Rekordsieger sind der Engländer Eric Bristow und die Engländerin Trina Gulliver mit jeweils fünf Siegen. (de)
- El 'Winmau World Masters Championship' es una de las competiciones más antiguas de dardos a nivel profesional, comenzó en 1974 antes que el Campeonato Mundial Profesional (World Professional Darts Championship) que se inició en 1978 hasta el 1993, fecha en la que se produjo una división de jugadores por diferencias en el sistema juego y desde entonces cada organización la British Darts Organisation (BDO) y la Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) han organizado sus respectivos campeonatos, conocidos por sus esponsors, Lakeside y Ladbrokes respectivamente. El torneo ha sido patrocinado por el fabricante dianas de dardos, Winmau desde el 1976 y han ampliado su contrato para patrocinar el evento hasta el año 2010. Se celebra en el tramo final de la BDO Grand Slam y es televisado como los otros grandes Majors. (es)
- The World Masters was one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the BDO tournaments, which began in 1974. The tournament was sponsored by darts board manufacturer, Winmau, from 1975 until 2018. The World Masters was unusual in darts in that its sets are the best of 3 legs (first to 2) rather than the standard best of 5 legs (first to 3). It was previously the final leg of the BDO's Grand Slam title of televised majors, along with the Topic International Darts League, the Bavaria World Darts Trophy and the Lakeside World Professional Championship. However, it is now one of only three major BDO events and is considered to be the second biggest tournament after the World Championship. The champion is referred to as the World Master. After the collapse of the British Darts Organisation in September 2020, the World Darts Federation announced plans to launch the WDF World Masters. In December 2020, it was announced that the 2021 tournament will be held at De Bonte Wever in Assen, Netherlands. This was then pushed back to 2022 due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions. (en)
- De WDF World Masters (tot en met 2018 Winmau World Masters geheten en de editie van 2019 One80 L-style World Masters geheten) is een dartstoernooi dat, na de laatste editie van 2019, in 2022 opnieuw zal worden gehouden in De Bonte Wever te Assen. Het toernooi zal in december 2022 worden gespeeld. Tijdens dit toernooi vindt ook de loting van het WDF World Championship 2022 plaats. De World Masters wordt gezien als het op een na grootste toernooi van de World Darts Federation (WDF). De eerste editie vond plaats in 1974. Na het faillissement van de British Darts Organisation (BDO), in september 2020, werden er door de WDF plannen gemaakt om een doorstart van het toernooi te maken. Dit keer onder de naam WDF World Masters. In december 2020 maakte de WDF bekend dat de eerste editie van de WDF World Masters in 2021 zou worden gehouden in De Bonte Wever te Assen. Sponsorem turnieju od ponad 30 lat jest firma Winmau produkująca tablice i akcesoria do darta. Firma przedłużyła kontrakt na sponsorowanie zawodów do 2010 roku. Turniej traktowany jest na równi z takimi zawodami darta jak BDO World Darts Championship, International Darts League i World Darts Trophy. Jest drugim pod względem wielkości turniejem organizowanym przez . Zwycięzca turnieju przejmuje do czasu rozegrania kolejnego turnieju tytuł World Master.
