- Die Landtagswahl in Brandenburg 1990 bestimmte die Zusammensetzung der 1. Wahlperiode des Landtags Brandenburg auf Grundlage der Ergebnisse aus den 44 Wahlkreisen, nachdem das Bundesland am 3. Oktober 1990 neugegründet wurde. Die Wahl fand am 14. Oktober 1990 statt. Mit der Landtagswahl konstituierte sich das Land Brandenburg 11 Tage nach dem Beitritt der fünf neuen Länder zur Bundesrepublik Deutschland neu. Gleichzeitig wurden auch die entsprechenden neuen Landtage in den anderen neuen Bundesländern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen sowie ein nachfolgender Landtag in Bayern gewählt. Die Wahlbeteiligung lag bei 67,1 %. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen vier neuen Bundesländern wurde in Brandenburg die SPD stärkste Kraft im Landtag. Die konstituierende Sitzung des Landtags fand am 26. Oktober 1990 statt, zu seinem ersten Präsidenten wurde der SPD-Politiker Herbert Knoblich gewählt. Für die SPD kandidierte der ehemalige Konsistorialpräsident Manfred Stolpe, für die CDU Peter-Michael Diestel. Stolpe bildete eine Ampelkoalition aus SPD, FDP und Bündnis 90 und wurde am 1. November 1990 zum ersten Ministerpräsidenten des wieder gegründeten Landes Brandenburg gewählt. (de)
- The 1990 Brandenburg state election was held on 14 October 1990 to elect the members of the first Landtag of Brandenburg. It was the first election held in Brandenburg since the reunification of Germany, which took place on 3 October. The Social Democratic Party (SPD) led by Manfred Stolpe emerged as the largest party with 38.2% of the vote, followed by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) with 29.6%. The SPD subsequently formed Germany's first traffic light coalition with the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and Alliance 90, and Stolpe became Brandenburg's first post-reunification Minister-President. La participación fue del 67,07%. A diferencia de los otros cuatro estados nuevos, en Brandeburgo el SPD se convirtió en la fuerza más poderosa del parlamento. La sesión inaugural del Parlamento Regional de Brandeburgo se celebró el 26 de octubre de 1990 y su primer presidente fue el político del SPD Herbert Knoblich.
