- Το πρωτάθλημα της περιόδου 1986-87 ήταν το 28ο που διεξήχθη σε μορφή εθνικής κατηγορίας και το 8ο από καταβολής του επαγγελματικού ποδοσφαίρου. Το κατέκτησε ο Ολυμπιακός με 10 βαθμούς διαφορά από τον δεύτερο Παναθηναϊκό. Το πρωτάθλημα σημαδεύτηκε από την απεργία που κήρυξαν οι ΠΑΕ (Ποδοσφαιρικές Ανώνυμες Εταιρίες) τις τρεις τελευταίες αγωνιστικές του πρωταθλήματος. Αποτέλεσμα ήταν να μην προσέλθουν οι περισσότερες ομάδες στους τελευταίους αγώνες του πρωταθλήματος και να τιμωρηθούν με αφαίρεση 6 βαθμών. Οι μόνες που προσήλθαν και δεν τιμωρήθηκαν ήταν οι Ολυμπιακός, Παναθηναϊκός, ΟΦΗ και Πανιώνιος, οι οποίες και κατέλαβαν τις τέσσερις πρώτες θέσεις της βαθμολογίας. (el)
- The 1986–87 Alpha Ethniki was the 51st season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 7 September 1986 and ended on 7 June 1987. Olympiacos won their 25th Greek title and their first one in four years. The championship was marked by the strike declared by 12 teams in the last three games of the championship. As a result, most of the teams did not come to the last matches of the championship and were punished by deducting 6 points. The only ones who came and were not punished were Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, OFI and Panionios, which took the first four places in the standings. The point system was: Win: 2 points - Draw: 1 point. - La saison 1986-1987 du Championnat de Grèce de football était la 39e édition de la première division grecque. Lors de cette saison, le Panathinaikos a tenté de conserver son titre de champion de Grèce face aux quinze meilleurs clubs grecs lors d'une série de matchs se déroulant sur toute l'année. Les seize clubs participants au championnat ont été confrontés à deux reprises aux quinze autres. Une grève quasi-générale a fortement perturbé la fin de saison puisque 12 des 16 équipes ont refusé de jouer les trois dernières journées de la compétition. Les quatre équipes non-grévistes profiteront de la situation en terminant aux quatre premières places. À l'issue de la saison, l'Olympiakos remporte le championnat de Grèce, c'est le 25e titre de son histoire. (fr)
